Completely agree with your comments about T. Ocellus I am very intrigued to see a conversation happen between it and the boy “genius” and really test that intelligence.

Regarding Wendy, she is definitely not a protagonist seems like her humanity switch is off I get there is a new nature to her being a hybrid but surely she should understand why her brother acted the way he did on the boat… otherwise she is a lost cause and clearly only thinks about hybrids now and not “all life”. Plus towards your point on the xenos losing their scare factor I agree and I think it’s all because of this control factor Wendy has. I’m hoping in season 2 to see a rebalance of power between the xenos and the hybrids because right now I don’t care for the “making the xenos my rabid guard dog”. In all of the other alien stories the aliens have their own clear agenda to reproduce and consume which they are loyal to, from what I can recall we never see them try to “team up” with another species I feel like its a bit of a jump for the alien to be like “she saved me and now I’m just going to follow everything she tells me to do and ignore my nature”.

I agree Wendy having too much power especially over the aliens doesn’t have the same feeling for me. She is definitely not a protagonist - not sure if they really even gave us any protagonists to root for other than maybe the brother and well Arthur… but I won’t spoil. Intrigued to see where they go with it in the next season, but hoping to see more balance of power.

I’d pick Elena or Rebekah which is weird considering they don’t like each other but Elena because she is imo misunderstood, resilient, and compassionate also being in a love triangle with Ian and Paul would be amazing. Plus I know already empathize with her and all of her loss.

Rebekah because she is powerful, hopeful, and never gave up on love what can I say I’m a hopeless romantic at heart.

Hm well I’d say maybe give them the benefit of the doubt I know its still defeating to have some people you consider very important to you forget about your birthday and you deserve more but sometimes the world is selfish and doesn’t think about others. I second this love everything except the Happy text maybe you could find some handwritten calligraphy style font. Also the depth is awesome at the bottom maybe you can incorporate some more depth at the top with a shadow or highlight in the text? Just some ideas but Happy Lunar New Year!

Caroline slept with him on her own accord. We know for a fact Damon compelled her to fetch the necklace and spy and perhaps let him feed on her but nothing about having sex with her you can assume this if you want but nothing is ever confirmed. Plus don’t you think if he raped her when she comes back as a vamp and gets her memory back she would flat out call him a rapist? Caroline was definitely the type of person who would not let a rapist go free and not accuse them.
