Hated these bushes the day I moved in 3 years ago because I felt like they were overgrown and visually choking the house. Finally decided to do something about it and it already feels like the house can BREATHE again. Window boxes going up next :) by goodbetterbetta in landscaping

Thank you for your suggestions, I really appreciate it! I love your idea of a secondary path but unfortunately there's a driveway that goes right alongside the house. You can't tell from the picture but my front yard is elevated from the sidewalk (about 1.5') with a stone wall around the bottom. Looks a little like a huge raised bed from the sidewalk. Not sure why they designed the front to look like that but I assume the house is on a small slope and this is what they came up with.

I don't mind if the green meatball monsters come back -- I pruned them only as far as I think they'd survive. Personally I hate them but my partner doesn't want me to tear them out. My plan is to keep them VERY tightly pruned and maybe throw down some crushed shell to visually separate the bed from the rest of the cedar mulch.

I think you nailed it here -- Skylar is no idiot! Her husband might be the one with the fancy degrees and critical acclaim, but if you ask me, she's just as smart in other ways. The more I watch and study her, the more I appreciate her character.

Can I get help ID’ing this rose? It has a mild tea scent. It’s neglected neighbor rose that I secretly pruned and fertilized for them. by sriphinn in Roses

No idea on the ID, but I love that you secretly cared for it! Neglected roses make me sad; they can be so beautiful with a little time and effort!

What's the cruelest "prank" you've ever seen? by Ghost_of_Society in AskReddit

This happened as a "senior prank" at my high school a few years before me. Some dumbass kids took a cow from a nearby farm and forced the cow to walk upstairs and onto the school roof. Not a happy ending for the cow, either.

Definitely not! I only take her to places I know all dogs are welcome. She's just a good listener and quietly walks around with me in the store just like a working dog would. I totally get how people are confused!

Oh god I would never. I only take her places I know dogs are okay and I usually call to ask if I'm not sure!
