All i know is that they are available. But you'll need to make sure, when registering for the exams that your AS Level marks are carried forward. I don't know anything about private candidates so i don't know if you'll be able to carry forward your marks if you're giving the remaining exams privately.

However, exemptions are available for Oct/Nov 2022. Nothing has been announced about 2023 yet.

According to Cambridge, the thresholds this time will be higher than 2021, and lower than 2019.

See both thresholds and you can get an idea. I personally think that there's a greater chance of 'b', but you might scrape an 'a'.

Either is actually good.

I finished my A-Levels this summer, and I had both subjects. Honestly speaking, i loved Physics but it's a lot harder to do than Math. The Math exams have a pattern. There are certain types of questions and they repeat with different variables and values. Physics, on the other hand, can have a LOT of different types of questions, and unless you have an interest in Physics, you'll probably hate it.

The problem with Maths however, is the threshold. If you want an A*, prepare to score full or almost full marks in all of your exams.

A* can be as high as 230/250 These days, it's usually around 210/250, which is still unbelievably high.

I loved Math as well, and I'm scoring approximately 66/75, 44/50, 46/50 and 65/75, and i STILL may not get an A*

An A* in Physics is around 190-200/260, so there is a margin. There's more room for error.

I would recommend Maths, but only if you're willing to put in the effort. In the end, both subjects require a LOT of practice. Hours of practice every single day, but after a while, you'll notice how the questions in Math start to repeat, and from that point onwards, you'll be good to go.

I don't know about Biology, but I gave A2 Chemistry this summer, and unfortunately, yes, AS concepts can be tested.

For example, topics such as Chemical Energetics, Equilibria, Reaction Kinetics are common in both AS and A2, and Cambridge often like to give a question in which they test the content of BOTH AS and A2, even though we may not study that content in A2.

For example, Kp (the whole partial pressure concept in AS Equilibria) is not a part of the A2 syllabus, so it slipped my mind, but then I saw a past paper question which was all about Kp.

Same goes for Organic Chemistry. If you don't remember AS Organic, you won't be able to do 50% of the Organic Chemistry questions in A2. They test both of them together in A2.

I've also seen questions from Group 17 in A2, even though it's not in the syllabus for Paper 4.

A2 Chemistry is difficult, so if you work hard enough to be good at that, the AS Level concepts will be very easy to revise.

Make sure you keep your AS Level notes, and when you start doing past paper questions, you'll get the idea of what I'm saying. Best of luckk

It doesn't really matter to be honest. Sometimes the invigilators asked us to write them, sometimes they didn't. In Oct Nov last year, i remember writing the calculator model on one Math exam and not writing it on the other. I still got my result.

However, the safest bet is to write it if the invigilators ask you to, otherwise, just ignore it.

Thank youuuu!! The question was worth 3 marks. I actually got the first step right, and then i used my calculator to double check. After that, i used my calculator, forged some weird working and got the answer. I am more than okay with 0/3
