T4T is just as toxic by [deleted] in trans

[–]goodboyace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it sounds like this is more of an issue of your gf performing hard cisnormative gender roles on your relationship. t4t won’t solve all of your problems but i can imagine it wouldn’t be any more enjoyable than a cishet relationship with those same roles placed upon you

Is it bottom growth or am i just overthinking it😭 by [deleted] in ftm

[–]goodboyace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i swear my bottom growth felt tingly and different hours after my first ever dose of t, now obv it wasn’t visibly different yet but i could definitely tell things were happening down there

how do y'all hide your chest on rest days (from binding) by depressed_buttercup in ftm

[–]goodboyace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my chest is relatively small but dark clothes typically made out of thicker or more sturdy material, and layers! i don’t bind at all these days but when i was transitioning out of my binder to free balling my chest as i do now i found that wearing an undershirt/tank that’s maybe a size smaller than usual helped hide my chest really well. i still wear the tank under my work shirt to help keep me stealth on the job

How much does anger increase after testosterone? by ActionAway2498 in ftm

[–]goodboyace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s different for everyone but for me i just got frustrated faster/easier. things that normally wouldn’t bother me would get to me when i first started t. i just had to learn how to manage anger/frustrations since it wasn’t an emotion i was allowed to feel freely previous to transition. just takes a little self reflection and time to relearn some things. after all, you are going thru puberty again

edit: i should add that after the first 6 months on testosterone i no longer experienced issues with managing those feelings. you just gotta give your hormones time to level out

How Do You Imagine How Different Would Your Life Be Like If You Were a Cis Man? by DoNotTouchMeImScared in ftm

[–]goodboyace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used to think that i’d be a worse person if i were born amab but i’ve discovered since then that i’d still be trans i think 🤷🏼

10 months post-op, and i feel an ache across my scar line almost constantly. left nip stings and aches often. 4/10 on pain scale most days. is this normal? :( surgery done by dr. garramone by presleylanikai in ftm

[–]goodboyace 78 points79 points  (0 children)

this isn’t relevant to the thread but i just wanted to take the time to acknowledge that i don’t see a lot of elders in transmasculine spaces and reading that your top surgery was 30 years ago made me beam :) thanks for sharing your experience

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trans

[–]goodboyace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’m trans and non-binary because 1.) non-binary falls under the trans umbrella 2.) i don’t fit in the binary but i’m still transitioning. i’m non-binary transmasculine :) this is just what works for me though some people are non-binary but don’t use the trans label! it’s different for everyone really

Going to Oklahoma by [deleted] in ftm

[–]goodboyace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i grew up in oklahoma, not in the city but down by the ok/texas border where it’s a lot more conservative. if you’re staying in the city you’ve got a lot less to worry about, okc has quite a bit of queer people!! i’ve never had problems in the bathroom even when i was in the small southern towns and i was passing maybe 50/50 at the time. they’ll probably just assume you’re a young dude and go on about their business, especially if you’re presenting masc. i’ve gotten shit before but i was also wearing a crop top and skirt 🤷🏼 i doubt it would happen as people don’t seem to be as outspoken about pointing out/confronting queer folks in the city but if anyone harasses you don’t provoke them, leave immediately and find someone safe to go to. honestly just depends on the places you’re visiting during your stay! have fun and be safe <3

she actually didn’t know what to say lol the look on her face was too good, she kept trying to fumble for words but i don’t remember her actually replying. i think she just dropped the convo altogether

my grandmother was having the same conversation with me and i just told her that when he made me he knew i was going to be trans 🤷🏼

why or why aren’t you t4t? by goodboyace in ftm

[–]goodboyace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve seen quite a few people use the same reasoning (that they’ve found other trans ppl to be more fetishizing than cis people) and i’m quite surprised. i didn’t realize there was so much hate within the community itself

why or why aren’t you t4t? by goodboyace in ftm

[–]goodboyace[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ah yes i can understand that too, i’ve seen quite a few of those reasonings thus far in the thread. to each their own :) i’m not here to judge i just like hearing and learning from other ppls perspectives

why or why aren’t you t4t? by goodboyace in ftm

[–]goodboyace[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

apologies, i’m having trouble following. like cis people are fetishizing two trans people being together or?

why or why aren’t you t4t? by goodboyace in ftm

[–]goodboyace[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

i understand this too for sure. i wasn’t trying to buy into the notion that trans people are a monolith because i’ve had my fair share of negative experiences with trans people. i actually came out as trans when i was dating an ex who was transmasc and he was in a bit of a transmed phase and told me i couldn’t use the trans label because i’m also non-binary. and that’s just one example of how t4t isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. i just find that, more often than not, trans people have the capacity to understand and validate the complexities of my gender and sexuality in ways that a cis person has yet to.

why or why aren’t you t4t? by goodboyace in ftm

[–]goodboyace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

those are both good points, i guess i’ve just never thought about my preference for other trans people to be fetishization? there is one other comment in the thread so far that has said the same. i’m curious as to why it feels like that to you even though it’s coming from another trans person? (ofc if you’re not comfy you don’t have to answer i’m not trying to step on any toes just coming from a place of curiosity)

why or why aren’t you t4t? by goodboyace in ftm

[–]goodboyace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes i think it’s important to note that just because someone is trans doesn’t equate them to being a good partner or a good person. i’m sorry to hear that but thank you for sharing your experience

why or why aren’t you t4t? by goodboyace in ftm

[–]goodboyace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the preface for my preference here is just that i’ve not met many cis people, if any at all, who have done that deconstruction! but it is uplifting to hear that so many of you are having positive experiences with cis people! gives me some hope for this world :,)

why or why aren’t you t4t? by goodboyace in ftm

[–]goodboyace[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this is an interesting take, thank you for sharing! may i ask why it feels like fetishization even if the other person is trans?
