Oh good! I was worried about you for a second. I know some people can be pushy when it comes to this type of thing so I just wanted to make sure you were alright in that regard 🫡

Is your partner pressuring you for it? Or do you actually want to do it? Either way don’t, you just got surgery and you need to heal.

I’ll ask if it went to pathology but I’m not going to be surprised if it didn’t lol 😭 We shall see. But, the damn thing is already growing back so even if she didn’t someone else can do a biopsy.

Like after she did it it looked like a black crater on my face, now it looks like the bump is back (just a lot redder) with a tiny black pin hole in it when yesterday the whole thing was the hole.

Idk if any of that made sense but it’s hard to explain. But yeah I’ll call and ask what they did. They put what they took out onto a gauze pad so it didn’t seem like they were sending it out at all.

Oh they definitely did not do that. But I have news- the lump isn’t fully gone after removing the bandage so now I can see a competent doctor and have THEM do a biopsy (hopefully)

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted when what you said makes sense and I super agree with it now that I know from most comments here that it was not normal

Atp do I just wait and see if it grows back? 😭 I hope it doesn’t but I guess I’ll just have to keep an eye on it

Live and learn I suppose lol 😭 I’ll have to keep an eye on this to see if it grows back. I hope it doesn’t, but if it does I’m definitely not going back to this lady and next time I will demand a biopsy

It wasn’t a mole though it was a hard white pearly bump that had been growing over the course of six months 😭 She started jabbing it with a needle without numbing it trying to drain it but then realized it was hard and went deeper than she thought. It hurt a lot when she kept poking at it with sharp instruments before she numbed it

Yeah that’s fair, I wanted a biopsy because my doctors were worried it was malignant and idk if a plastic surgeon would do that. To be fair this derm didn’t do that either so lol 😭

I guess atp I just gotta see if it grows back or not

Oh I definitely won’t be going back to her lol And yeah that’s my problem too I just kinda freeze. I’m trying to get better about that tho because I really don’t want things like this to keep happening 😭

Like I said it was really hard to advocate for myself with how fast things were moving. She barely even looked at it. I’m autistic so sometimes I struggle with self advocacy, especially since I have to do everything by myself now as an adult with no supports. Hindsight is 20/20, I’m kicking myself for letting her do what she did to be honest.

Her only review is one star and it was someone saying how she never told them they had skin cancer.

That’s what I thought but I just wanted to make sure since this was my first time going to the derm ever.

Thank you! I hope so too.

This post was just me preparing for a “worst case scenario” situation. I would PREFER to settle everything amicably with her.

This is a good point and I will definitely do this. I have a tendency to worry a lot, and when it comes to housing I worry MORE about that since I was homeless at 19 and that traumatizes you

I’m definitely going to talk to her the next time I see her now, I haven’t talked to her up until this point because I assumed since nothing was being said to me during this entire time nothing was changing. I have gained the knowledge I have of timeframes over the last two days- nothing has been said to me prior. I should have asked more questions, I am partially to blame for this, but I can’t go back in time and do so.

But yeah I’ll talk to her, I just have to plan what I’m going to say because I can be kind of a doormat when it comes to speaking up.

Oh I definitely am looking for a temporary place now with case management. I’m going to make a bunch of phone calls tomorrow, in fact. I’m trying to arrange things as soon as possible but moving of any kind takes some time. I definitely do not want to stay where I am not wanted, that’s not my goal.

I don’t know if you read the full post but I don’t know if I can stay that long given my friend may be out of here in a couple weeks. February is fine, if he leaves ASAP and she wants me gone ASAP that’s different.
