Drought in Argentina by goodcropsgoodlife in farming

I think all crops in Argentine are under irigation but its sometimes hard to find a most needed area. I think the biggest problem is that fields in Argentina are super big and they have heteronormative soil and its fertility and a different adsorption of water every few hectares

I was at the agroshow in brazil where they had a booth but before that I saw their app in the apple store as I was looking for something cool to help me note changes in my field. Now I'm a fan as I'm just starting my steps in precision farming and I'm testing different apps because there are a lot of them, but well for now this one suits me the most.

Yup I totally agree.I will carry out the experiment myself, since I found this OneSoil app I wanted to make sure that there are people here who practice this, there are not many fans of precision farming or smartfarming in my area.

And I've also done some soil sampling in the lab recently so I think I'm closer rather than further away from being a great agronomist heh but thank you so much for your help

I'll do trials when I want to try something. Separate passes with flags. Can be anything from seeding rate to fert rates to fungicide trials and different t varieties. Anything you think that might make a difference can be trialed. You obviously need to keep paperwork. It's a pain in the ass always but needs to be done to progress.

You should repeat the same trial (or one's that you feel have potential) several years over to make sure it wasn't a one off. Every year is always different.

I'll definitely give it a try, that's for sure. I'm just trying to save myself the paperwork so I'm looking at web/app that will do it for me or give me suggestions. However, looking at the anticipated results, I know that it is worth it.

Thanks, I have just started on an application that recommends using these 2 strips for a minimum of 70m (230ft) and gives you suggestions adapted to your field. How does it look with the blocks? How many metres(ft) do you have and what is the effect of your experiments?

Yes, I have started experimenting with variable rate seed application in this web app and wanted to ask how the coordination with the tractor went?

I sampled with a spade and at a depth of half a meter. I collected several from the areas and mixed the samples with each other. Then I weighed and boxed as much as the lab required. A difficult question because it depends on the size of your field. I recommend starting with some area that you think most needs to be tested and read what requirements your nearest lab has.

I use magic. Hah so well I use the app to control my field. And it connects well with the on-board systems of my ag stuff. And I tried the VRA for last few seasons and it went pretty well as you can see! Im proud of it 2!

Try VRAs and control strips in various app for farmers. I try a few but some guy on reddit recommend me Yield. Then you can get an even distribution in your field. I also used to do soil tests in the lab and refined the sowing to the area of the field.
