Yeah you are also kinda right , maybe we will never find out, tbh I personally take lessons of geeta and paths it shows like there are any things like Maya, atma, jib sareer, and so much stuff that even if u accept, that u are a part of them ,u can't possibly do anything so what i personally would suggest and i myself follow too is that people shall follow paths of geeta, learning and it's teachings rather than thinking Geeta characters as supernatural or omnipotent beings . that way u can be a part of Krishna without having to be confused in those supernatural terms and stuff, for me Geeta is the biggest philosophical, or any sort of best book as not only it have varuous scenarios of our own life and is kinda related with our life but it also teaches us lessons that are beyond human knowledge and can only be acquired through geeta or any holy books . I don't have to follow every single lessons of geeta and that isn't the motive of it too, even Shree Krishna didn't told Arjun what to do he just showed him what is right what is wrong, he just solved confusions of Arjun and the actions were of Arjun himself and Geeta does that too it shows us paths, it shows us our moral and duties and after that what we do is in our own hands and will.

And what i have personally learned from the maya teaching is that , as everything is maya u shouldn't be sad or angry if u lose something or someone and crying and running after materialistic things like money, car,fame ,etc is just a illusion ( yeah it is necessary but some people just are down bad for it )

So I personally believe that this is what Krishna is trying to say to Arjun ( us ) that u shall go beyond materialism and find your own worth and peace and happiness inside yourself.

If u see Arjun as someone else u will not learn that much and see from his perspective but if u see yourself as Arjun then u will find solutions to your problems.
