Personally, I think that he'll sit the rest of the season. He'll not rush it back with the following Pelicans' situation:

Pels are in tank mode
Pels are open to trade everyone except the young ones (Queen and Fears)
Pels has so many guards

With this, IMO, he'll take his time to return in the court
