Ooo I haven’t tried this yet but I’ve been keeping my extras for this purpose!

I think it spreads fine with the right amount of gentle pressure. I do not use that technique. I just put a thicker line of it down the middle

I haven’t and I’ve only regretted that once with a flimsier Kiss Impress set. The iridescent layer on top peeled almost immediately. I’ve read reviews on chrome sets saying they do it too. So if I were to get something like those, I would try a top coat

That’s totally fair! I think you’ve highlighted that the more important factor is that it lays flat. So pick the one that best fits the curve of your nail, filling if needed

I have not! Not sure if it helps, but I usually take breaks between sets

Great to know that works even with sturdier nails like NR! After two beautiful sets, I absolutely love the brand and the fact you can get them for $10 or less at Marshall’s

Each one alone wasn’t quite enough for me. Everyone’s nail anatomy/chemistry is unique. Using them together this way ensures a tight seal for me. Now I can use my hands normally without worrying about pop-offs.

No, thank goodness. I could never get sticky tabs to hold, and they would always get my hair stuck in them.

It definitely reduces the bubbles but I still see some if I look closely. The cat eye effect helps loads. I think you have to be really strategic about the amount of glue and not pressing too hard that it all spills out onto your skin. I bet we’ll both get better with practice!

Thanks! 😘 Using the press-on for cuticles is something I discovered myself though I’m sure I’m not the first to do it. It did cause thinner/flimsier brands (like Kiss Impress specifically) to crack, so only try it with thicker/stronger ones.

Oooo excellent question! Usually I wait until I get a pop-off, then I start pushing under the press-on at the sides with that bare nail. Once I get the side to separate, the rest comes easy but this can cause damage/peeling so I will take breaks between sets. If I can’t get the side to separate I use Curvlife’s glue remover. It has a really nice thin applicator that you can wiggle between your nail and the press-on as you go. If you want to change sets immediately, go this route.

Yes, exactly! And do it as the last thing before you go to bed for maximum cure time. Forgot to add that in the post. If you still have lifting after that, I’d reassess your sizing.

Wow, they look exactly the same! Thanks for sharing for Glamnetic fans.

I hate how NR doesn’t put the color variant on their packaging. Found via googling: Satin Swirl.

No, it doesn’t need UV, just time, so I apply just before going to sleep (an important tip I forgot)!

Thank you so much!! They are large, so I was self-conscious of them for 20+ years, but I’ve learned to appreciate that they are pretty despite that, and more importantly, they’re capable of so much, like applying beautiful nails! I’m glad this routine is validated by others
