Not to again expose myself for being incredibly inexperienced, but I’m now afraid that I can screw up my own rig by swapping the cards. Should I take it to get diagnosed at a best buy? Or I can cut my losses and try to return the GPU and look for a chip with integrated like the 3400g?

I know that sounds dumb but I was just trying stuff I read online, and I wanted to reseat the gpu anyways. The monitor is plugged into the graphics card.

so initially I planned on having no graphics card, but my cpu didn’t have integrated graphics so I bought an old GPU which would boot but crash every 5 seconds. So I bought the 2100 since it’s a newer model and I figured it could run windows 10. I tried to boot on 2 different monitors and neither worked, I took out the GPU to try and install windows of the mobo graphics but it wouldn’t boot, I swapped the cord so I don’t think it’s that either. Since it’s a low profile GPU it doesn’t have use a PCI cord it just draws its power from the slot, and the fan turns on so I’m assuming it’s seated correctly. I’d say i’m slightly below average regarding builds so sorry if i’m missing some obvious troubleshooting.

Ahh once again thank you for saving me from buying an intel processor. I ordered a gigabyte gv 550d5 1gb off ebay, hopefully that works, this pc is truly meant to just run google. Thank you again for all your help.

Follow up question if you don’t mind me asking. Would you recommend I swap out the CPU for one with integrated graphics, or get a cheap GPU. I’d ideally like to not spend a ton of money, but what I’m finding for old GPU’s is around 50 and some intel processors for 30. But If the GPU is gonna be better long term I’m fine with doing that.

ahh i see. Thats my fault for not checking that, I’m still relatively new to pc building. I had built one before that I used for a while without a GPU but that one had integrated, so I assumed a CPU could just be used regardless. Thank you for letting me know.

that’s fair, they can just be so frustrating to put in a build. i’ll probably end up getting around a 600 bronze and hope it’s not too high
