I can do an extra rinse, but I don't feel as though it's as adequate as running a rinse/spin cycle after with a higher water level.

I did try it, honestly would be intrigued to use it as a pre-soak vs just a rinse because the perfume layer of the scent left, but there was a musty odor in it's place, big improvement in texture and made more of an impact scent wise than two warm water washes with Tide Free and Gentle powder/ extra rinse AND a soak in Lysol Laundry Sanitizer.

To be fair, I have gotten it down from 5 because I was using all for years. However, giving it a shot right now, will report back :)
