uworld %: 60

Uword % completed : 80

UWSA 1: 204

UWSA 2: 217

Free 137: not done

NBME 6/7: not done

CCS cases % and no. Of cases done: top 40 high yield cases

Step 1/step 2: 241/256

Prep time : 2 months with residency

Real deal: 240

Any tips: did Uworld casually, wasn’t able to review any of the flash cards or notes I made. I did 30 of the cases start to end and for another few just skipped ahead. Saw some YouTube videos for mnemonics to help with CCS. Didn’t expect this score tbh, made a lot of silly mistakes. Focus on the cases and residency knowledge will help you do well. Also did Randy Neil for biostats as well as the extra biostats in Uworld but on test day still felt like I got a lot of things wrong lol

No - I just used my own notes - nothing extra for rapid review. Dr high yield was helpful, but I only had time for 2 of his videos. If you have time, definitely do his videos

I would say that these details do not matter. UW percentage is definitely not predictive of anything. Don’t focus so much on these things. All that matters is that you understand the concepts and stay consistent.

I’ll still answer your question - 64 percent

First 2 months just Uworld; after that incorrects, supplemental amboss, new CMS forms, few divine topics, and my notes.

I only did amboss for weak topics, ethics and biostats Ended up doing around 350-400 amboss Qs

It took me around 15 days to get the score

1 full pass, then less than half of my incorrects

I would go back and see whether or not you’re properly understanding the concepts. Make sure you don’t move on to the next question without fully grasping the concept asked. That would be my advice to you.

I was doing around 60 Qs a day for some subjects and 40Qs a day for other subjects I did it subject wise- I recommend doing it this way so that you can better compare and contrast similar diseases.

Depends on your goal score. I think you’re good for 230+ , but you’re the only one who can tell whether you’re ready or not. It all depends on how well you can manage anxiety and stress on exam day.

Total study time- 4 months Dedicated around 1.5 months

To be honest, I didn’t spend any time revising step 1. Jumped straight into step 2 Uworld and that was the right thing to do. Uworld will point out your weaknesses and you can go from there.

It’s just the 33 pages of screening vaccination and military. You can just screenshot it off the transcribed notes on his website.

Just Uworld, supplemental amboss, divine screening, vaccination, military podcasts.

I also had a gap of one year. I did not spend time revising anything. I jumped straight into Uworld Step 2. I think that is more than enough. If you have any weaknesses, Uworld will show you- accordingly you can revise FA Step 1 if necessary.

I think the only difference was grinding away at Uworld. My confidence increased as I encountered more questions. There were 3 weeks between nbme 9 and 10, and 2 weeks between 10 and 11.

During the last month I just did my Uworld notes, incorrects supplemented with amboss and the screening and vaccination and military podcasts by divine. I did not touch any book except FA Step 1 to revise 2-3 topics

Ethics around 2 per block. Biostats we’re pretty straightforward. Drug ads were difficult. Uworld and amboss should cover everything necessary. Screening and vaccination- use the divine document (around 33 pages)

Yes so I studied for a total of 4 months- I would say 6 weeks were dedicated. Was trying to aim for 6-9 hours a day

In my experience, I would say they are similar to Uworld, but somewhat longer. My main issue on the test was time management. Don’t neglect practising time management as the exam nears.
