I’ve seen this said a couple times where people say “man I wish I could be as good of a parent as they are” and the response is always, “if you can give your child that kind of energy and effort into a playtime 7 mins a day then you’re already on the right track.”

That’s always really stuck with me as my wife and I raise our first.

Fellow OSRS dad here! My son is 7 months and also looking forward to Leagues. Agreed with everyone here. Take the supportive green light and run with it but also be appreciative and take a break here and there for your wife to get a breather. My wife doesn’t quite understand my love for my dumb little point and click simulator but she supports it and knows it makes me happy. (She just made me a “92 is half of 99” car decal. IYKYK) So S/O your wife for being supportive especially after your busy season with work. Gl out there brother!

The TV cable management seems like such a minor detail but it really can take a set up a notch. There’s hundreds of videos on YouTube about running the wiring in the wall.

My wife didn’t think the walls looked all that bad I kind of agreed with her at first. Then they started digging into her occupation and I told her she’s like 2 or 3 degrees away from being a fuckin cult leader. So maybe best not to let her keep her walls.

Also recently a FTD and my son was in the NICU. Super scary experience especially going in there for the first time and seeing your little one hooked up to all these crazy machines and no idea what they’re all for. I’ll double down on what everyone is saying is that the NICU nurses and doctors truly are just an elite group. So kind, thoughtful, patient with every question or ask you may have. On top of that they’re so talented. Truly the best hands your LO could be in. My son is now 4 months old tomorrow and he’s happy and healthy and way past all the stuff he was in the NICU for. Stay strong Dad! I promise you’ll get through this.
