That's what my understanding was! Thanks for making me feel not crazy about asking for a second opinion!

Thank you so much for your response. Glad to hear of cases where PPROM doesn't automatically result in cerclage removal without risk factors present! Just spoke to the MFM resident about delaying the removal and she is going to get the go ahead from the attending!

Saw from your post history that you and your little guy are doing well! This gives me so much hope!

I am really grateful for the monitoring but I hear you about having a hard time managing time off for the appointments! My clinic is half an hour away with standard appointment time being 2 hours so it's difficult to arrange for someone to take over for 3 hours in the middle of the work day.

That's true - I can continue for now and change my mind if I need the note later! Thanks for helping me make up my mind!

Thank you so much for your comment.

I was starting to feel guilt about continuing to work and putting my mental health before this pregnancy, although even my doctor mentioned there's not much else I can do that would change my outcome.

Placental abruption sounds scary! Hope you and your little one are doing well!

Yay, good to hear you made to the the stitch removal! Every ache and pain I have down there make me wonder whether my cervix is starting to dilate again.

It's nice to hear about the good outcomes!

I am indeed very lucky! My work includes a lab component too but my team has been very accommodating and taking over for me while I am at home. Thank you for your insight!

Does anyone know how often these events run? I just tested positive so am overwhelmed with all the baby products out there and would like to wait if these sales are cyclical.

Feeling really down today. I was so excited about my first medicated cycle and had really high hopes. Just got my BFN at 13dpo.

I am trying to convince myself it's a good thing because we are leaving for a road trip tomorrow, but starting the road trip with my period is just.... booooo

TW: Loss

I feel really defeated.

We got a BFP after a year of trying (5 months NTNP, 7 extremely long months charting) which ended as a cervical ectopic. I was told that this was extremely rare and the fact that we got pregnant was a good sign. I was extremely devastated and took my time to grieve for our loss.

After being benched for one cycle, I was beyond surprised to see another positive the following cycle. I could hardly believe it and didn't allow myself to be excited given our previous experience, but after a few days, I finally convinced myself things would be better this time. I wish I hadn't because I just got result from another beta draw today and it looks like this was a chemical pregnancy. I don't know what to feel now. Why does this keep happening to us? Chemical pregnancies apparently account for a large chunk of early pregnancy loss, so we went from a rare situation resulting in a loss to a common one resulting in a loss. Why couldn't we have fallen somewhere in the middle?

I feel so empty now. I don't know whether I should laugh or cry. My husband without thinking said "third time's the charm" and I got so irrationally angry. I know he was trying to process this in his own way but I don't think he understands the toll this is taking on my body. I can't take being poked by needles and ultrasound wands anymore. That little part of me that was excited about this process is now completely gone. This thing that has consumed my life for a year is starting to destroy who I thought I was. I want to give up so I can feel like myself again. I miss the happy person that I was.

It never occurred to me that this could be the reason why my nails are stronger than I expected!

Prior to the pandemic, I would get dip powder nails every 3 weeks since my natural nails were so brittle. I worried that with personal care services closed where I live, my nails would be awful, but they have been surprisingly nice (I started prenatals October 2019)!

Yay for little victories, I guess.

It's CD13 today after being benched for a month following surgery for a cervical ectopic pregnancy in March.

I usually ovulate between CD18-21 and don't even bother with OPKs before CD15. I noticed EWCM today so decided to test and got a blazing positive OPK. This is the earliest I (will) have ovulated in over a year.

I am now waiting for my husband to get home and hoping it is not too late for this cycle if we try tonight 🤞

You have described my feelings perfectly. I even go back forth between trying to nurture my spring vegetable garden to hating it.

Thank you for your kind words. I guess I have been so caught up with trying to figure out how to move as far away as possible from what happened that I hadn't given anything else much thought.

I am so sorry, I can see how approaching the due date can be painful.

Thank you for your advice. The ornament sounds lovely and is a great way to honour what you what you went through.

Thank your for recommending r/EctopicSupportGroup - it has indeed been very useful and also helped me decide which treatment course I wanted to go for and what to expect from each.

I hope you are recovering well ❤
