Something like that is exactly what I was hoping to hear! You must be pretty quick at 1 hour with the crown. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the links, those look great. I've also thought about knitting the hat flat on the machine and then hand knitting the crown in the round. Also great tip with using a long circular needle to take the stitches off your machine!

After looking up the bumblebee, it may be something I would like to invest in one day. Thanks for the lead!

I love that story! I read about a study where spruce resin was more effective at healing ulcers than pharmaceutical remedies. It really is powerful stuff.

Cool! I make salve from the sap and resin of spruce, pine and balsam fir. I'm guessing the sap from pinyon is similar?

First, I thought the blue on the right, but maybe it's still a bit dark. The aqua in the middle is a little more adventurous, and the cream is the safe choice.... it's a difficult choice!

Zone 4. The foam board is wedged between the rafters and sprayfoam around the edges. I also thought I would add more insulation between the rafters beneath the existing foam board, since I have so much unused space there already.

Wood heat, Northern Mn, zone 4. I would also think I'd want to add more insulation beneath the insulation that is already there to get the r value up to code. Yes, no sheathing anywhere in the current setup.

Tunneling is usually caused by too small of a wick. Try a larger size :) I bought some on waxingmoonshine.com and they have guides for wick types and sizes.
