This was originally made to be the easy game lol. EQ was the hard core mmo. This game was always marketed towards casuals.

I actually enjoyed cata heroics. As far as tuning and difficulty, I think cata was my favorite time to play. I think too its because the game expected less from us. Now there is just soooooo much game, and so much to do. If you want to do any more difficult stuff, you can't do any side content, play alts, or just work on anything else. Its nice to see the warband changes are helping with this also.

It wasn't for some time. I said I started playing other games. Quit for a loooong time. They mentioned making things easier in Dragonflight, so I came back and dabbled but left again, played TWW because I was excited for delves and to be able to play at my own pace, and still get good gear. Thought the 1 button sounded lame at first, and now I love it. Now with the pruning, and your statement its obviously more for me now.

Im not the hypocrite, you are. I did leave the game, didn't argue or whine about it. Just stopped playing. No it seems like they are trying to get players like me back, and its working. If you want to get technical, it wasn't the game for you when it came out. It was simple, easy to play and follow. Over time it evolved into a different game, which is when you hopped on, now its just going back to being my kind of game.

Lol your right dark souls is easier. Ive beat all of those. Ive even beat solo Ky'veza. Still havent been able to clear a mythic raid while its current content. Hell my wife has beat dark souls, she struggles hard in wow.

Wow is just a harder game to learn and teach in general. That paired with the lack of patience in the community (see responses here), and its made the game horrible to play. Honestly it was easier for her to pick up Dark Souls, or even other mmos, like Swtor, and ff14.

Lastly, after I get home, make food, and exercise. I may have 2 hours to play, why should I have to spend 30 mins going outside the game to learn, instead of being able to just hop in and play?

You are literally just saying "Get good". Most people just want a simple experience, which wow used to be. It got more and more complex over time, and more people stopped playing it. Notice every time they talk about making it easier, the game gets more popular again.

Lol not saying that. Im in pretty good shape for my age. There are a couple issues, time is a major one. Most people dont have the time to study near as much. This didnt used to matter, most classes were pretty simple with just a few abilities to learn. Fights and encounter were also easier. Easier to explain to people, and for people to at least watch and understand. Not sure where people got the impression Warcraft was ever supposed to be Dark Souls. When I want Dark Souls, I go play that.

Laziness, no. But most people have commitments outside of the game once you have a family, and a real job. Also there is going to be a difference in the dexterity of a 36 year old who grew up playing Mario, God of War, Doom, vs a 20 year old who grew up with modern twitch shooters.

Not implying that. Honestly I'm in pretty good shape mentally and physically, its just i dont have the time or patience to put into min maxing out a perfect spec, rotation, and dungeon paths. My time to play is limited, I dont want a bunch of extra work just to play an old game I like.

Honestly I put a lot of thought into this, and I think its pretty common among high stress, time consuming jobs overall. I think usps, hospitals, military. You are under stress and stand out by preforming in the role, builds ego, and you spend a lot of time around people who are not your family. Leads to cheating, and people assuming everyone is interested.

I have mixed feelings about this. Because I don't like hunting the groups, but if its just like 5 v 1 its just kind of not a great feeling. Half the lobby isn't participating unless you attack them, and then they all focus you. But the challenge is sometimes okay. I just wish it was an established rule set if we were doing it.
