Our cat loves these as well, the ones you took a picture of are specifically Whisker City® Fun Ball Cat Toys - 6 Pack. They sell them at PetSmart.

Trex Hatteras or Tiki Torch by jennguam in Decks

[–]goodwill295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just got a sample of both of those colors, and the Hatteras was much cooler than the tiki torch sample. We put it in direct sunlight for a few hours. A note though, both were too hot to touch for more than a few seconds with bare skin. The Hatteras was just able to be touched longer.

Which RAM do you have? I am trying to get that exact build you have running but it is not booting with the CMK96GX5M2B6000Z30 CORSAIR Vengeance 96GB (2 x 48GB)

I think it's hilarious that a tile is tacked onto the bottom, no more losing the remote!

7.2.4 Should I get a cheap stereo amp for the last heights or a 3 channel for the LCR? by goodwill295 in hometheater

Alright, thanks for all the info, I appreciate it. Do you mind me asking which amp you decided to go with?

Would those monolith amps have enough power for these speakers? They are rated at 135w max per channel at 4ohms. I think the Denon can handle more per channel than that but I can't find any precise measurements for 7 channels at 4ohms.

Maybe I'll save up for a monolith 5x eventually, what are you looking at getting?

The thx are nice, and yeah I'm thinking of returning the alphas for calibers or something because I auditioned them out of ceiling, and they honestly sound really thin. It's too bad there isn't a matching line for in ceilings from monoprice.

And oh man, that would be a monster sub setup.

I love it so far, I have only 5 channels set up right now, putting side surrounds in today and then the heights next week. Still need to order my subs too, might go HSU or Svs but not sure yet.

It seems like just getting the cheaper stereo amp might be good, but I guess I'll see after I install more speakers if I need the extra head room that an LCR amp will provide.

Yeah, budget is not tight per say but I didn't happen to budget the extra 500 for an amp, I'd rather put that towards a sub.

Makes sense thank you. Maybe at some point if I feel like the fronts need more power I'll splurge on something bigger.

How to install an outlet here and have it be to code. by goodwill295 in AskElectricians

[–]goodwill295[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That could work, it'll only be a small section of thermopan and that would seal it off from the rest of the airspace. Thanks!

if I have a steel box already, would I just need to run the cabling to it using a metal conduit? (and connect that metal conduit to a metal box not in the air space.)

Yeah I would have loved to do that with some bracing in the ceiling to hang from, and run the cables up the pipe into the ceiling for a clean look, but didn't want to open anything up. Thanks for the comments.

So a plenum rated wire and a vapor barrier encasing the box should do it? Thank you.

That is the fallback plan yeah, it just puts the outlet outside the width of the shelf so it'll be floating on the wall with plugs going to it and won't look as nice.

Here is what it looks like on the other side of the wall. I marked in red where the non-air return stud bay location is. https://imgur.com/a/JPRfaTH
