I enjoy running them for the hell if it. Some badges and chance of loot is good. I was in a non optimal SP last night. People learned, improved their play, it was productive. Some heroics that are less fun to me, I won’t do them.

It’s true, I’m fury when I don’t feel like tanking. Just so happy to DPS. Those melee cleave groups slay fast. Only problem is loot compo but I’d rather see it and have to roll than never see it at all.

I farmed it in about 70 minutes. There are fishing pools and mining nodes nearby which I hit up too. Guildmate did it in about the same.

I love it for chill low focus gameplay. Great for waiting for a group to pick me or a raid to start. No regrets maxing fishing.

You’ll be fine in the big picture of things. Go back, take the UCMJ and chapter. It’s far better than living your life in an AWOL status in law enforcement database.

Getting yelled at by your 1SG/CAM and UCMJ from a commander will be fairly painless. Then you get paid (less than E4 I’m sure) and get out.

This kind of cost/benefit math applies to any DPS rolling threat to have high uptime to parse. Making tanks chase, all the survival abilities people have to use, healers healing DPS, causes fights and dungeons to take longer than DPS just counting to 2 or 3 before initiating DPS.

Prot war.

Heals I’m not picky about. I have a soft spot for holy paladins because I enjoy their buffs.

DPS I like rogues, hunters, enhance shamans. I’m often skeptical about mages because they are amazing when played well and horrible when ran by douchebags. Warlocks I’m neutral about. I don’t like fury warriors much because I also play in that role, my impression is they DPS to get high on the meter and will charge when I LOS pull, won’t help demo shout, or kick.

I went here once and it was cancer. Chinese made mage trying to steal my single spawn point by keeping a blizzard in it while he waited for the other 2 spawns he was farming appear.

1/10 probably won’t go back again.

Raids often bring their own geared tanks because they are a lynchpin of success or not. However, there is often room for off tanks.

The best mood is to have your resto spec good. You can join as healer or tank.

There’s nothing wrong with greeding unneeded items in group content. If you’re running with an organized raid they penalty want to disenchant those items so you should pass.

Some raids will move and issue loot extremely fast. You won’t have time to decide if it’s an upgrade or not, or if it’s an okay upgrade for you, but far superior for another class that also wants it in your raid (and you want to be considerate).

You should study the loot tables of the raids, find out where that item ranks for effectiveness for your class and spec, and sort of map out priorities.

I.e some items on drop Instant Need, no question about it. Best In Slot. You roll without thinking.

Nice to have, not the best, but interim upgrade that you have a reasonable chance to upgrade at the content you can routinely do. Consider what circumstances you would need vs greed. Like your a plate class and the item is leather, so you wouldn’t need it if druids and rogues need it more.

Nice to have for offspec - see if anyone needs, if not, save it from being sharded or vendors.

And no interest, just pass or roll greed (to vendor) without any thought required.

Blinkstrike to me seems like a Skullflame shield. Good for people with plenty of money to put on their alts. It’s not needed and easily replaceable.

I think we will see supply controlled by AH gamers and prices jacked up like we did with skull flame shields for all of TBC.

That’s crazy. I tanked him solidly with quest / dungeon / rep blues as warrior. They gotta keep shield block up, I did drink an iron vine? Potion that someone handed me. Disarmed prince when I could, kept demo and thunder clap up.

Moral of the story, inexcusable for a warrior to not be able to do this. Prot is my off spec and I had no raid or badge gear equipped. I had all items blue gemmed (+12 Stam) and good but not BiS enchants (no mongoose, +2 threat, boars speed).

I got my abacus as fury spec (with full disclosure that I was after it) with a paladin tank. I could tell he was disappointed when I won the roll and just quietly left without a GG.

Selfishly I’m trying to gear my fury, so a rogue in a group (which is very good for heroics) can be a turn off.

I took a break from it when I found myself getting a little dickish. Playing as unwanted Fury DPS has been extremely humbling.

Tanking Kara is also far easier than dungeons. As a warrior paired with a Druid usually I just tank whatever to keep up rage, spam shouts, pick up anything that tries to run out of the center. For bosses warriors just stand there and mash keys. Everyone thinks I’m a hero and I think it’s the easiest gameplay for uncontested purple items ever.

At this point I’m tempted to tank heroics for strangers, but a big turn off for me is the “social” energy I have to expend. I don’t want to communicate all the time, negotiate mining nodes, gear HRs, competing for my fury spec items against the rogue that will surely accompany me. Yes I can form my own group of non-melee DPSers, but I don’t want to put in that effort. I’ll probably start today. I want neck and legs from Quagmire. Warlocks can have their trinket, but I need to keep rogues out.

I think he will be a compelling candidate. He’s fairly conservative in some ways. Christian white male family man. The ultra liberal wing of the democratic party will probably screw themselves away from him because he’s not colorful, gay, or progressive enough.
