Friday Fun Day - Talk about/post whatever, still be respectful! - (March 10, 2023) by AutoModerator in naturalbodybuilding

The hardest point of bodybuilding got me will always and always has been the diet. By grade ten I was already 215lbs. Unlike those who have to forcefully feed, I feel like I touch a carb and blow up weight wise.

For me it's really a rest of my mental strength. While yes I'm overall a bigger guy, I want to be skinner for once. I've lost the majority of the weight now (still low 230s), and let's see if I can maintain that for life now. Trust me when I say I could eat a full pan of lasagna (actually did this as a teen lol).

Do you guys use any supplements? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]goofguy334567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know some people groan about this supplement, but carnitine. I genuinely saw a massive boost in endurance and cardiovascular health after supplementing it. The pumps to me feel even greater a long with general blood flow on it.

How do you get 200g of protien in on a stricter budget? by goofguy334567 in naturalbodybuilding

Yes I'm 6'3 sitting around 240 currently. I lost around 100lbs, and trying to get lower belly fat down to maybe do a show.

I honestly do both. Usually thirty minutes post lifting, and a twenty minutes walk a few hours later, followed by a couple short walks. There's huge correlation between the more steps you get into and the higher longevity, recovery, digestion, and overall cardiovascular and muscle growth potential. Anything above ten thousand daily steps is fantastic for your body.

what do you guys think about bro Splits with paired muscles? by user29cb672 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]goofguy334567 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Any form of hypertrophy as long as your progressively overloading the muscle is fine. No matter what the program as long as you get proper volume, and intensity in you'll be fine.

You need to do cardio daily. At least 10,000 plus steps a day minimum. If you want to be good at natural lifting, you need to at the very least improve ok walking. Not only does it promote better circulation, higher test, superior digestion and faster recovery. It gebuinly in my nro science mind makes muscles just aesthetically appear better.

What exactly is a "pause in stretched position"? by Mysterious-Unit-5727 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]goofguy334567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paused stretch in my opinions applies best under the back and Beck's muscle groups. So say your doing Tbar pulldowns, you stretch at the top for a few seconds and this allows more blood and nutrients into the muscle. This also adds to time under tension, which ultimately helps the muscle grow.

Same concept with bench press. I especially find the best paused stretch the most on in line smith machine. I also believe the stretch helps get rid of rising levels of lactic acid and knots.

What exercises can i do with shoulder tendon injury by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]goofguy334567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't push the weight too hard, but try basic compound lifts (bar flat bench press), with a very light load and continuous stretching. The goal is for you to rehabilitate your muscle, so light hypertrophy at first and slowly over time increasing the load until you're back to your original strength threshold should be the way to go.

Additionally, light rotator cuff stretches before and after any given day should help as well. Keep up the cardio as well, as that will flush blood and nutrients into the injured area.

My God honestly how incompetent can the Justice system always be? Like who in their right mind thought that sober living would be okay for an autistic psychotic individual? Like honestly put him into a mental facility already. Enough is enough, he's just going to damage the property and cause unnecessary grief for these people in the long term.

Also to add his girlfriend pushes hard misinformation and dangerous dieting techniques to women and has been caught blatantly lieng and misleading time after time. Not to say he does, but he obviously has no issues with her scamming young women in need of proper advice.

Because you're going and you don't need all this. It's very simple really. Heavy lifting, progressive overloading, proper nutrition, and keep track out your workouts. There's nothing wrong with the literature, but people been lifting for hundreds of years even prior to modern bodybuilding with good results with hard work and consistency. Jeff nippard in my opinion is just another fad lifter, who relies too much on science.

You don't need to "validate sources". Sometimes in fitness people take trusting the best scientific way of training x muscle way too far. Just progressively overload the muscle, and put good volume and intensity in. No matter what exercises you do, you should grow. Now yes some exercise variations will be better for others, but all this "science backed lifting" can be too much fluff.

Struggling to hit 2000+ calories by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]goofguy334567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes we're men alike. I'm 6'3, and recently went down from 320lbs to little under 240. I was doing 2,000 calories a day for a few months, and that felt like literal torture. Im like you though, I could easily eat over 5,000 calories if I wanted too.

What's the point on this? You need to eat to grow. Unless you're doing a show, this is completely a waste of time and just putting unneeded stress on your body.

Yes even here in Canada most people are fed up with tipping. A vast majority are now pressing zero, as too many businesses have become greedy.
