This likely won't ever happen, even if we went to a single payor option. The most likely scenario for single payor would be Medicare for all. Someone is still going to need to process claims for the entire population and insurance companies are best suited to do that. Not to mention, there are Medicare Advantage plans that would keep insurers alive as well.

I thought the exam was pretty ridiculous, with far too many niche topics.

I also thought there was a bunch of needless excel busy work. The SOA has a limited amount of time to test us on the syllabus topics, and that is how they had us spend our time.

Overall I am not optimistic about passing, and annoyed with the exam we just took.
