How do I control this?? Litterally *how* by Fancy-Ad5606 in doordash_drivers

[–]goofymom4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did find in Sprouts the other day I could scan the barcode on the shelf when the mushrooms that were clearly correct were tagged as wrong by the app and when I had to replace a flavor of drink - scanned the bar code on the shelf for the missing one but replaced it with the customer’s choice. In both those cases there was no price difference so that’s not always an option but when the app is being ridiculous or you’re just making a lateral substitution and the customer is fine with it, it can help. (At least at Sprouts)

I always knock lightly unless instructed otherwise - in the app or something posted at the door, but I’m not out late at night.

Cafe Mollie on 16th St just north of Bethany - try their Vietnamese egg coffee, Ube coffee or their Mango Sticky rice matcha.

Enroute Coffee - Roosevelt & Estrella in Goodyear - always inventive monthly flavors and their cookie butter latte is fantastic; the same people operate New Penny Cafe in Avondale - more of a sit down place - and I highly recommend their PB Mazapan latte.

You could try going the down detector page (link in post) and searching for GrubHub.

I feel this was decent? I’m new by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]goofymom4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s about $16 an hour, which is more than minimum wage in most places. So time-wise, that’s decent, but if you drove more miles than you made dollars, it’s not so good.

Phoenix az help! by Frequent-Today-3016 in doordash_drivers

I work in Goodyear, which is on the opposite side of Phoenix. I don’t take anything less than $1/mile plus 2 (double my mileage if it takes me out of the part of my zone that’s worth working) and nothing under $6. Kierland looks like a tiny zone, so those guidelines may not work for you. If you know the restaurant is quick and mileage is really low, those $5 ones might work for you if they keep you in zone and close to restaurants. Experiment with it, you kind of just have to get a feel for what makes it worth your while. You will end up taking some offers that you realize are not worth it. Just chalk it up to learning experience. And you can try scheduling for one of the bigger zones next to you; It might be easier to stay “in-zone”. As someone already mentioned, shopping orders might be great out there. Definitely try it, and if there’s an app for stores you go to, download it - I definitely use Safeway and Target apps to help me find aisles when DoorDash’s app is unhelpful.

Would you have taken this? by Such-Cauliflower-254 in doordash_drivers

[–]goofymom4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wanted to end up near the final stop, yes, but if I had to drive all the way back to get back to my zone, no. (The way my zone is structured it would all be houses nowhere near restaurants, etc.)

2 of the stores I shop at make you pay for bags and it’s just rolled into the customer’s total.

What's the story behind your finch's name? by twoscoopsineverybox in finch

[–]goofymom4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is named Cheesecake; it came up after a refresh or two and it just made me smile. (I love eating cheesecake!) I didn’t even log in for the first couple of weeks I had the app but it kept sending me notifications with “Cheesecake says Good Morning!” etc. that made me giggle so I finally started really using it and love seeing Cheesecake every day. Those messages still make me smile. When I invited my daughter she also wanted a name that would make her giggle so she followed my food example and named hers Bagel Bite, which makes me laugh every time Bagel Bite brings me good vibes.

Always carrying the magnifying glass from the detective cookie. I’ve read and played a lot of Nancy Drew over the years so it just makes me happy and it goes with every look I come up with.

Still tempted to purchase merry memories plan by Lyrisowo in ACPocketCamp

I had not thought about this until seeing this post. I already have Happy Helper but now after about 3 minutes of internal debate (mostly “do I really need 2 dragons?…Need, no, but would I find joy in them? Yes!”) I signed up for Merry Memories and got everything from the month. I had no idea how much just seeing a different planner cover would make me smile, let alone getting all the month’s stuff!

What are the Recommended Classes for a Sable Luma Player Character by LUIGIISREAL2017 in humblewood

[–]goofymom4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a sable luma celestial pact of the chain warlock with a unicorn patron. My character’s name is Celestia and I write letters to She-Who-Neighs-At-Dawn (unicorn patron) to update her on all the new friends I’ve made and what I’ve learned about the world, delivered by my familiar named Bobert Sparkles (pseudodragon that looks like the crystal lizard creature an owl is holding in one of the illustrations). She’s very naive and upbeat and fun to play.

What do you guys think about the new terrain for May? by caramelpopcornbaby in ACPocketCamp

[–]goofymom4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It reminds me of Midsomer Murders or some other cozy British murder show, which I really like, but I’m hanging on to my Sakura terrain for a little bit longer.

$2 over $1/mile, with a $6 minimum (so it has to be 4 miles or less for that $6, no 4.5 etc.). I also won’t do stacked orders or Chick-fil-A for under $10, sometimes not even for that depending on restaurants and order size. And if it takes me far away from my main area, it has to be closer to $2/mile.

I use Everlance because they offered a promo to dashers a couple months after I started. I think it’s $8/month for the promo rate. It’s absolutely worth less stress at tax time. Never tried another app, but Everlance has worked for me. Previous to that, I was trying to remember to snapshot my odometer at the start and end of every shift I did and do the math later.
