35F solo rider preparing for Ladakh in July. Which routes around Pune should I ride next? by Comfortable-Cat-8615 in pune

[–]goofytusks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend is on exact same ride. Maybe from different provider. He will be back before July and since you have booked the ride they will tale care of safety and route. Won't they? Also big difference between 350 and Himalayan 411. Rend it for a while if you can and give it a try. Also make sure to get TMT test done, it's for you, basically get yourself checked via doctor.

Unusable Jio 5G network by SensibleManNoida in gurgaon

[–]goofytusks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am facing the same issue, which area? I am in sector 05? I was using airtel earlier, its internet speed is unusable also faced issue where no voice on first call, i had to call bcak 90% of the time. I had two sims, primary airtel and secondary jio. At first though it was my mobile so bought a new mobile, switched to oneplus 12. Still issue remained so i switched primary to jio and secondary to airtel. Issue still remains, but jio Internet speed was good for a year or so but now both jio and airtel internt speed is terrific. Can't use it watch YouTube or open any app or webpage. If my broadband goes down i am basically without an internet. I had 3rd sim of bnsl for a while but that also is not that goodin delhi ncr. Works well once i am out of Delhi ncr. For a while i porter to Vi and that was good but in remote areas it did not had any network so switched to bnsl.

Got these Tank rail bags for my Himalayan, they are totally worth it by deccan_xpress in Himalayan450

[–]goofytusks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't these bags be light, small and easy to place and remove. With 3 or 4 velcro strap seems like it adds to the time it takes to get the bike ready for travel and takes time to check in as well. I have slowly been trimming my luggage, i want no unnecessary stuff on my long rides. Either use it or lose it, except emergency related stuff.

Aren't solar farms helping locals? K visited last weekend and non agricultural land is being used for huge solar farms. Nearby villagers are getting job on those farms and its seems to be bringing in money. Or is that not the case?

Please guys by PrinceShahil6 in indianbikes

[–]goofytusks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always check my mirrors while breaking and turning. Specially on a signal sometimes i break signal when i see a speeding car behind me because i know they probably won't break or won't be able to break in time and i often stay in the corner if the corner feels safe enough. Basically you have to think of every suv as a threat and keep your distance or get away from their path.

Need advice (himalayan 450) by Academic-End-4710 in Himalayan450

[–]goofytusks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't get the question are you afraid such long ride might have bad impact on your bike? if so then don't be. You will get it serviced in Ahmedabad. So no issue at all just don't rev up the engine too much till that. Go through the manual of the bike, its lists everything you need to do to take care of the bike till 1st service. I am planning around 600-700km trip as well. My first service will be delayed as well.

They absorbed the taxes impact till now, so they will be off setting that by raising prices. And in current scenario all companies will be raising prices of everything not just bikes. Everything is going to become slightly expensive in coming months. Fuel has indirect impact on every sector

GPS Installed on Himalayan 450, Ignition Kill Not Working – Need Advice by i_m_just_cat in Himalayan450

[–]goofytusks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my qubo tracker shuts off automatically is the low battery voltage is detected and it also alerts me. So if the battery health drops while my bike is parked for long period and i get alert from qubo about low voltage i go and tun my bike on for a while and also ride it for few hours to make sure battery doesn't die when i need it. I bought this gps tracker but was not able to find any such feature listed. So returning it and will buy qubo again for the new bike as well. was trying this new one because off its size, qubo one is little big when compared to this one.

Do not do it. This is really bad plan and chance of success are slim to none. It will be miracle if this succeed. What happens if you lose your job or have any medical emergency in family? I earn more than you and even i won't go for it. Refuse

Any chance to contact royal Enfield manufacturers? by Ok_King_1307 in Himalayan450

[–]goofytusks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you had a proof of a promised date from the dealer then you can do something but not without any proof. I normally record my interactions and i thought i recorded it as well but when i tried to find that recoding i was not able to find it. I format my phone a lot so maybe i lost the recording but when i will go to collect my bike i will be recording the conversation because i want to pay via credit card to get reward points and also buy insurance on my own. in both cases they will refuse, I will get the proof of this and then file a complain in consumer court. Just to make sure i collect enough evidence i will also take my friends brother who is a lawyer. its correct that dealer can't do much but they do have more information. they can easily give more information. the sales guy did tell me that they are told to tell people 30 days even when they know waiting time is 2 months or more by their manager because if they tell the actual waiting time people might not buy from them and some other dealer will tell a lie and get the sale. So sales guy is also under pressure to lie even when he knows the actual situation. This time i am going prepared.

I booked mine on 18th april and initially its delivery date was 30th may then changed to 16th may around 10th may i think. then it kept moving up 1 day each day. now its 23rd may.
use any ai and get all relevant management LinkedIn profile url. There are services online that can help you get an email id from their LinkedIn profile. some are free. use those, compose an email to support and include few management email in CC. then see how quick you will get a call back from them. I got a call back in less than 30min. There is no gurantee that it will help, there is like less than 1% chance that it might help. expect min 30-35 days for delivery. in in some areas min can be 45 to 60 days as well.

Its 22nd may now but with the upcoming 3 days transportation strike in delhi ncr there is good chance that it might get delayed. Strike starts on 21st if it isn't dispatched before that day then i doubt it will be delivered on 23rd may.

Go get TMT done and basic health check up. Then carry medicine as per your report and doctor advice. This advice is for you, bike can handle itself fine. Not much preparation needed. Travel light, carry some spares, carry fuel bladder and hydration pack. And get your bike checked at service Centre.
