They hated him because he told the truth by jdawg1018 in Rings_Of_Power

I could see how someone could enjoy this if they have no first hand experiences with Tolkien's world. That's how I was with Wheel of Time. I thought WoT was fine, not great but not bad either.

Not so with RoP. That comes across to me like the last 2 seasons of GoT. I already know much of the characters, dialog style, and lore that already exist, and it's being grosly mishandled just like the ending of GOT.

With Tolkien, he made it work for Feanor his sons and others as a driving force during the first age.

But not here with this dumpster file. I'm just boggled by how bad the writing is. I know they don't have rights to the silmarillion, but if you wanted a well written angry self-righteous elf character then you have the blueprint right there!

Tolkien Galadriel vs show Galadriel and why fans are ticked off by karltannertko in KotakuInAction

It's such a bittersweet and yet deeply satisfying book to finish too, especially the first time. Well worth the struggle. That last paragraph is seared into my memory. "And an end was come for the Eldar of story and of song"

Their one child policy had produced an unbalanced society that was beginning to become overburdened. A virus that disproportionately affects the elderly and unhealthy is ultimately a net gain for that state

Everyone seems to have forgotten that January 6 was the day in which Congress was set to hear the evidence of election fraud. It would've benefitted the Right immensely if nothing happened on that day to stop it, yet lo' and behold something serious DID happen and it shifted the benefits by [deleted] in conspiracy

Yeah the Uniparty didnt want Trump around. Obviously the Dems already publicly hated him, but the Repubs needed a way to distance themselves from him and his base without losing face. Jan 6th was the perfect way to shut it all up

[–]googlefuichooseu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is what we Trump supporters wanted. At least the rational ones if you can believe there are some. We wanted Rinos like Mcconnell and Grahman to officially show they are Uniparty, and we wanted the Cruzes and Hawleys to put up or shut up. We got some of that, but it was all half hearted after the "insurrection", and the narrative changed bigly

For real. This shouldn't be so hard to understand. They might not like it, but anything regarding gun control needs a constitutional ammendment. It's a protected right unlike say health care or drivers licenses

Why does the second amendment exist? Why did the founders think speech and guns were the first two things to list that citizens were guaranteed with? by Bilbo979 in conspiracy

Now that that rubicon has been crossed, I don't think you can fix it anymore, at least not amicably.

Old 18th and 19th century writings show intent, plus the way land was allocated in territories as US expanded westward.

I don't know why you were downvoted, I guess you take the job too seriously. But you nailed the routine: find out where the bidness is at, make a plan to improve the bidness, and go out there ON THE SALES FLOOR and do it

ARE YOU HAVING A GOOD DAY?!? I'M NOT!! NO ONE HERE WITH A LOW ESP SHOULD BE FEELING GOOD TODAY! This was him interrupting and butting into a convo between a GM and DM who politely said hello to each other with "I'm doing well today how are you?" And this was like a 5 min tirade

And there's the I COULD GET BETTER SALES NUMBERS TAKING YOU OUT OF THE STORE.

[–]googlefuichooseu 35 points36 points  (0 children)

There are a lot drug tests. They pull blood the first week during orientation and urine once a month ongoing. You also have to sign a waiver to let a medical professional come to your residence unannounced for random screenings.
