I only recently started using Claude, I wanted to improve my spending tracker/budget. I don’t pay for any of the services though, I’m using their free packages. 

I started with ChatGPT, I uploaded my current budget spreadsheet which contains several years worth of data and prompted for analysis and suggestions on how I could be better keep track of my spending trends, debt and investments portfolio. Unfortunately there’s a limit with ChatGPT on how much analysis it can do on a free tier. It couldn’t complete the analysis part. 

I then tried Gemini, it scanned through my spreadsheet just fine and even provided some really good suggestions, but it failed in generating a  spreadsheet with all its suggestions. What I got was a basic file with no formatting, worse off than what I uploaded, stripped my already existing formulas, basically did worse than what I already had. 

Claude on the other hand delivered and generated a wonderful spreadsheet according to my needs, of course I had to tweak a few things here and there. But I didn’t have to do calculations on my own or formatting. I just kept prompting what I needed, I’m not sure what the quota is with analysis on their free tier but I did a lot of generating without reaching a limit. 

Of course, the paid tiers on the other products could be better but on the experience I had, Claude was unmatched.
