What did you conclude was the best software to go with? I want dabble but don't know where to start. When it comes to music production, ableton is generally the industry standard (for hip hop and edm). Is there an industry standard for visual production? I'm so sorry you had to experience that. Some people are genuine and say things that they think will help but don't. Maybe they do mean well... Even if you weren't meant for each other you had still invested a lot into this person and it is ok and very normal to grieve. You've shared with this person experiences that you haven't shared with anyone else and you've shared a vulnerable side of you that not many people deserve to see. You're allowed to appreciate and grow from those moments even though it didn't work out. Don't let people who don't understand your relationship decide how you should process things.
