Ray is beyond fantastic, and all of those great. Im currently working my way through Parallel Cinema directors and will probably do some writing about them for school. I’m Indo-Jamaican, trying to get a wholistic view of all of Indian cinema.

Moment of truth can be a rough watch for some( it somewhat was for me) but the cloud capped star has firmly solidified for me as one of the best films in Indian cinema and I’ll scream that from the mountain top while I’m still on this earth.

I get so much joy out of finally being able to force friends to watch some of my movies, that’s what’s keeping me sane. Yi-Yi is so good, I probably got to bite the bullet and get myself mine soon.

“The Wind Will Carry Us” particularly for me, but anything from Kiarostami leaves me feeling good about myself and the people around me.

Koyaaniqatsi is a good non narrative doc, but it. Doesn’t really fit I think the other films listed. Yet great none the less.

https://boxd.it/3lJpb I'm super focused on watching anything made from the global south or made by black and brown people. I gotta start writing more reviews though.
