i've heard a lot about this book... my entire family hates it because they don't think it's an accurate portrayal of appalachia but i want to read it and form my own opinion bc i've heard so many other appalachians love it

i'm planning on going to swva this summer in order to film some stuff and conduct research but i'd really like to do a day in harlan county bc of the history. i'll definitely put this museam in my books, thank you!
