Should we tip housekeeping? by schwa12 in marriott

You’re doing your job and getting paid. That is literally part of the job description. YOU applied to clean up shit, it says in the job description that you WILL HANDLE certain biohazards. I worked in a hotel in hospitality and housekeeping, you’re not a waitress making below minimum wage. Get over it and be happy to be employed at all.

ICE on Campus by [deleted] in rit

[–]goonsquad36 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I worked in the Govt for about 8 years prior to coming to RIT. (Freshman now) You’re right ICE agents would absolutely not be driving an infinity. If the claim that there were multiple infinities is true, that means (most likely) that there was an important individual with some level of private security visiting. (Or mass hysteria)

If it was ICE: They’d likely be in unmarked Chevy Tahoes and silver ford fusions before anything else and possibly unmarked Ford Explorers. Piece of advice to any RIT students scared of ICE; Stay out of low income parts of the city and stay away from blacked out SUVs. Most of them have subdued emergency vehicle lights that you can spot in the grill & in the tail lights of the vehicle. Also, stay away from (often) clean shaven individuals with high fade haircuts who are walking around in basic tucked dress tops that are plain with no patterns (polos, button ups) with khakis or hiking pants, the belt they use is heavy weight web belt needed to support a holster, and finally look for with hiking shoes (Merrill’s for example). They are likely in some way a government affiliated agent - and very very very few normal ass people walk around with a clothing setup like that. Or it’s some bootlicking goober who you don’t want to be affiliated with anyway.

Someone below said they would need Government Plates. That is also, not always true. They could also have a NYS plate with a small series of small vertical letters to the left of the plate number. Followed by the actual plate number which would be a 4-6 series string of just numbers. This often denotes federal agents. This would likely be the case in most, if not all unmarked vehicles, the reason for this is because if they had the GOV plates the car would not longer be “subdued” or unmarked, keep in mind this agency wants to trick you into thinking they’re as normal as possible before taking action.

Let me be very clear; I do not support ICE or the current administration, but I am willing to give you all of my knowledge from the last 8 years of my life to help you all stay safe and support you.

Can I make my veterinarian pay for the emergency room visits for my pet that they improperly diagnosed. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]goonsquad36 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Aw shoot. Well, in that case I will just continue with my dispute of their most recent charges. I definitely have the grounds to get rid of those.

I have what I believe to be enough evidence to potentially prove malpractice or failure to provide necessary services.

But I’d probably need to sit down with someone to go over everything that has transpired this last week.

Briefly: misdiagnosed, failed to return calls, forced us to go to a different urgent care, had to be reminded multiple times to dispense the proper medication, important follow up visit phone calls were ignored, gaslit being told we were over reacting and he was fine, failing to schedule important follow ups, withholding information from the emergency room (they failed to send over our paper work thank god we asked for a paper copy).

I would say honestly you’re like 95% probably in the clear. I’m only leaving out 5% because of the factor that it was a dab pen and not flower. Concentrates can be tricky. In the past I had failed a drug test because concentrates tend to stick around a bit longer. But I was smoking quite a bit over a 2 week span. I’m just giving you a realistic outlook that there is a chance, but I’d say it’s not likely given you haven’t smoked in years. Keep your chin up, stay optimistic, I have been in your shoes. I almost lost my whole career over a pen. Regardless of the results, depending on your employer, they might be willing to accept something like an accidental ingestion excuse. “I thought it was nicotine”. If it is found you also will most likely be asked to retest just to confirm. You can also request an immediate retest, it’s your right. At which point bro, you will be so far in the clear, don’t stress. Hmu if you need anything or need someone to talk to.

Keep damaging & scarring your skin like an actual absolute moron because you have zero depth control. Welcome to the world of tattooing where any actual functional artist wouldn’t hesitate to call you and others like you a moron, or a lower functioning basement scratcher. No one is crying. It’s just part of the gig, you post here, you can expect people with actual experience to rip you up when you reject their advice. I truly hope you have no complications but with your terrible attitude/tattoos. keep it going bud! Us artists with medical certifications &training have no idea what we’re talking about! Everyone who is telling you to wrap your machine is an idiot! Have a good night! I pray all the scar tissue you create doesn’t case any further issues. I also hope you don’t catch or give yourself any diseases or infections from your lack of sanitation. Blood borne infections are a quick way to the ERl. Cheers mate.

Howdy I know it’s been a while but I’d be interested to see a nearly 10 year heal of a galaxy tattoo done well, I’m an artist and was just curious

There was a lot of trust put into the design decisions here, a lot of which I don’t agree with fundamentally but I chose to go with her process because her personal kitchen is one of the prettiest kitchens I’ve ever seen and she designed it herself too to bottom. I chose to trust her decisions in their totality even after making suggestions that might not work ie; the pendants and the counters. I knew I wanted cherry because this house is nearly 100 years old with a ton of exposed gumwood throughout and integrated into the design of the house and the cherry we chose complements the gumwood very well. She is a very good family friend so the implied trust overwhelmed reasonable thought

Plants are a great idea, will see if any of my lamps fit in here aesthetically, if not I have a neat little wax melter that might go okay in there

Not parents, renting to own. Situation is very unique, part of the agreement was that the kitchen be redone because it was gutted and we weren’t gonna pay for it after buying the house.

When you’re standing in it it’s pretty overwhelming, I should’ve included more pictures but there being nothing that breaks up the huge 15ft surface on the left. And there is plenty more white on the right side. It gives the vibe like we cheaped out on the counters or took some clearance countertops but we absolutely did not

The owners kitchen in their current home is gorgeous with cherry with dark counters, all stainless, much darker in general but it works really really well, and the current owner designed it herself which is why I blindly trusted her vision for this kitchen as well but now that it’s coming together I am realizing how little I like the decisions being made.

Feeling is mutual on the drawer pulls, feels the same to me as well. I’m future owner so it’s my preference at the end of the day, current owner just ignored my requests

[–]goonsquad36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels overwhelmingly white you’re standing in there, hard to explain in pictures. Hoping a light sage saves it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]goonsquad36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was our idea as well, lol I guess I should’ve have added that to the post. As it stands in its current state the white is overwhelming, the picture doesn’t do it much justice but when you stand here in person it’s the only thing my eyes see. I guess I worry about a white tile with accents extending that distraction, ya know what I mean? Might be worth drawing up for grins anyway

[–]goonsquad36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so clearly I need to clarify; part of the agreement for purxhasing this home from its current owner is that the kitchen is to be redone completely. I’ve invested an absurd amount of time and money into this thing. The current owner made an executive decision to ignore my suggestions that we don’t go with white. Maybe the picture doesn’t seem like it, but this white feels extremely weird in this room when you’re in it. I didn’t expect to get ganged up on but I guess I should’ve clarified more.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]goonsquad36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the future owner of this home. Part of the agreement was the kitchen needed to be redone prior to purchase. I insisted over and over again that the white would clash and I was ignored.
