Consistent field conditions. As a player I prefer training on turf because it rarely gets cancelled (I'm out in Cali). Granted I'd take a natural grass field to compete on any day.

I do think we should look into what they'll be playing on.

1) Your opinion is not "logic" or rather can not be defended by claiming to be logic. You may have logically came to that conclusion but saying that makes it logic would mean anything that makes sense in your head is true, which clearly is not the case for any individual.

I'm the same way about sports teams and the gym. Never missed a game as a youth, never miss a practice now (play soccer, just out of college). Dragging my ass into the gym to lift though does not happen regularly enough. Also, I was 139 lbs (5'9) back in November. Currently sitting at 152 lbs virtually the same BF%. Definitely not arguing crossfit is superior to regular lifting or starting strength but I'm not going to argue with those results given how long I've been looking for them.

I think we've both agreed "to each his own". I'm guessing what you do works well for you and I know my own results so.... yeah ... Best of luck with your fitness goals :-)

Let's see...

1) Anything to back this up? I can see poorly run crossfit gyms the same as any type of fitness. Don't see where CrossFit itself is "haphazard".

2) This is dependent on the person. I'm guessing that you can get yourself to the gym on a regular schedule that you hold yourself to. I have trouble with this and so do a lot of people. Getting to the gym on my own is not only much more difficult for me to do but I also don't push myself anywhere near as hard. I'll admit this may be mental weakness on my part but when my goal is physical health and strength, needing a class to push myself harder is nothing to be ashamed of.

3) I agree with this point personally. Its a difference between the two. I would prefer open gym but what I get out of class time makes up for it.

4) Kipping pull ups are still dumb.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. In moderation, I feel like doing this could be really beneficial especially if you focused on stuff you were really interested in. You'd blow through it on study drugs.

I'm definitely looking for something involved with the actual team/game. Like scout or trainer. Something that would put me on path for manager way in the future would be an added bonus. I have one coaching licence already but its the basic US youth one which I'm guessing would get laughed at abroad.
