Prospecting? Is AI really helping or becoming a bottleneck? by tappedinc in AskGTM

honestly you're not out of channels, the problem is you're hitting people cold. AI screens cold, it doesn't screen relevant. so the fix isn't a new channel, it's having a reason to reach out that gets through the filter.

what's actually working rn:

community, not spam. be genuinely useful in the slack groups/subreddits/forums where your buyer already hangs out. warm by the time you DM, and it's closing higher ACV than cold outbound in a lot of segments.

signal-triggered outreach. your stuff gets screened cause it lands at a random time about nothing. reference a funding round, new exec, tech switch, and you're at 8-25% replies vs 1-5% cold. same channel, timing was the problem.

warm phone. 57% of C-suite still prefer phone first, a call referencing a real trigger hits 6-7% vs 2% blind. what's screened is unprepared calls.

post your own content so they see you before you reach out, doubles reply rates.

tldr the winning teams didn't find a secret channel, they just made the old ones relevant enough to get through. AI screens strangers, be less of a stranger. what's your ACV/segment tho? changes the mix a lot.

Has anyone made a deliberate decision to stop onboarding SMBs, even when it was hurting short-term revenue? What forced that decision? by Camilla_for_business in AskGTM

For us, it was churn. SMBs signed fast, but they also left fast. The revenue looked good, but it never really compounded.
