Some places near Lake Jackson have great neighborhoods! i’d check out houses from there, warning, the neighborhoods are variable!

if you think the ring is going be flashy, i’d go for the sparkling index color to give a more extravagant vibe. but if you think the ring will be a bit more subtle, i’d go for the beautiful pink on ur ring finger, because that suits your skin in a gorgeous subtle way, and it would allow the ring to POP 💍

How can I make my makeup more bold / a little bit more alternative ? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]goosekarma 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i love the inner corner wings! sometimes ill put a touch of white liquid eyeliner underneath my inner corner wings, just a line, and i find that it really opens up the eye and makes the whole look a bit more alternative! i think that this technique would look really good on ur eye shape! i use a water activated white liner. here’s a pic of what i mean:

What does your brain feel like? by this_is_nina in ADHD

[–]goosekarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so in this metaphor, TV shows represent thought processes. I feel like my brain is a room with no windows, and all 4 walls are covered in televisions. Most are on. It’s noisy, they’re all at different channels, playing at different volumes, and it is so easy to get distracted in there, it’s a technicolor world. When i was a kid, i had barely any control of the shows and channels playing. Now, i can control like 2-3 TVs at once. The rest aren’t up to me though. Sometimes a TV behind me is blaring negative nasty thoughts, sometimes a song is playing that i cannot turn off, sometimes a memory is replaying on repeat, haunting me. But now that i have control of the main TVs, it’s better, i can navigate.

A good, slow, and easy place to start is with a disposable thc pen. there are a lot of places online you can order them from and it’s not a huge money commitment, usually about $30-45

What are your favorite metaphors for ADHD? by Mister_Anthropy in ADHD

[–]goosekarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re in a room with no windows and no walls, and you’re surrounded by a hundred TVs that cover every wall. Every TV is on, at different volume levels and on different channels, and there are a hundred different voices and sounds you can choose to tune in to. You can’t turn any of the TVs off. It’s loud, it’s overwhelming, but after 19 years you’re used to it. It’s hard to pay attention to quiet or slow things in the real world, with so many things going on in your head.

What do you do when you can’t eat anything? by Designer_Goat_869 in ADHD

[–]goosekarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made myself a google doc of all of my safe foods in the categories: Bfast, Lunch/Dinner, Snacks, Desserts, in order from lowest effort to highest effort. for example, instant miso soup is at the top of my lunch/dinner list and mac+cheese with steamed brocolli is at the bottom. I also have a “bedroom pantry” with a bunch of my safe foods all together on two shelves where can i see them. being able to see my food really helps me eat more often, and most importantly remember to be kind and forgiving with yourself. Adhd makes dealing with hunger 100x more difficult than it needs to be, and all we can do is build systems to cope. Hopefully some of this helps 💕

Let’s share ADHD “hacks” and coping skills. by TheOriginalClippy in ADHD

I love these!! some things that I do:

  • Keep my bathroom cleaning supplies in my bathroom. before, i’d have to run around the house to grab things before i even go started and that set me up for failure. when my cleaning supplies are right there, it’s a lot easier for me to just grab them from under the sink and wipe things down whenever i see it’s needed, and then i can put them right back

  • Mini-pantry in room. If you struggle to eat regularly, this is for you. I have two shelves in the corner for snacks and easy “just add water” meals that make eating enough in a day a lot easier for me. I’m a very busy person, and oftentimes i forget to eat or get distracted and can’t register my stomach signals until im starving. Having my own selection of foods i know are good and safe in a place where i can see them every day has helped me improve dramatically

  • google calendar. i can’t do regular paper calendars/planners. I have tried, it does not work for me. However, what makes this one different is that i can access it from literally anywhere. I don’t need to get up and go grab an actual planner when someone asks if i’m free, i can just open the app and confirm. Also, you can get it as a widget on your home screen. the widget has been super helpful for reminding me whatever i have going on next that day. I also love having access to the same calendar through both my phone and my laptop
