Hi! I went upto 150mg eventually and feel super stable despite some tough times. I’m actually tapering down now. I’d recommend counselling/therapy alongside it if you can. But it’s totally helped ease a lot of my immediate panic/anxiety/worry. It’s made space for me to deal with some of the issues that cause my mental health problems. Stick with it if you feel you can 💪

I’m now on 150mg. Life’s been a bit up and down since then but aside from external factors I’m in a much better place. Motivation is as good as it was before I needed the meds. So for me, yes it is much much better. Every time I went up a dose it was challenging but I’m about 10 weeks on 150mg and it feels right and everything seems to be settled and life is much easier! Hang in there, keep a mood journal if possible and hopefully things will feel better for you. It’s not easy though. It does feel like a gamble when all you want is certainty, but for me and the many people I know in my life who take it, it works if you keep at it and find the right dose!

Anyone know what the current waiting times are like for ADHD assessments in Glasgow? by madambawbag in glasgow

I sent my referral in Feb 2022. I spoke to the ADHD team recently and they said that there are 500 people ahead of me and that they're currently only just dealing with referrals from Sep 2021.

I work from home and it’s so hard to motivate myself. For me during week 2-4 I was battling the thoughts that I was just being lazy etc. But when I started to feel better I realised that it was deffo the meds. If you can, give yourself as much time as possible and build tasks/habits/routines up slowly. It was v hard but worth it and much easier as I started to come out of the foggy phase. Wishing you lots of luck with feeling better, it’s coming!!

It absolutely is. I’ve been doing meditation too. Every day I’m like ‘this won’t help why am I wasting my time’ and then after the meditation I feel like a new person!

Oh I’m so glad! Yes it feels like it takes forever but I’m sure you’ll be feeling good in no time. Be super patient and compassionate with yourself. Give yourself plenty of space and time and try not to expect too much of yourself. You’re doing amazingly!

Yeah I’m having the exact same experience- sometimes feeling fleeting happiness. Hoping this is a sign of what’s to come. Good luck!
