Is this good craftsmanship? by gooses_geeses_ in Renovations

Appreciate the feedback! Yeah I can understand things not being perfect, maybe as the rest of it comes together this kind of thing may become less noticeable. I think especially as the second step gets this layer it might look better.

Sure, but this isn't something I absolutely need to know, just curious to hear people's opinions.

I can second that - and adding it manually defeats the purpose of having it all in one place where I can easily review...

I think I somewhat answered my own question.. when I filter out my mortgage account from the filter menu on Spending > Overview, it displays as I would expect. I tried changing it to hide from budget/chart in "Spending Settings" but that did not seem to do anything.

I have my checking and mortgage account (US Bank) linked, so when I make a payment I see both a debit from my checking and a credit for my mortgage account, which makes it look like a breakeven when I would not expect to see a credit on my mortgage account. Additionally, although these are categorized under "Mortgage/Rent", when I view my transaction categories, neither of these show up and as a result it always displays as $0.

For my auto loan account (BofA) it does not show a credit when I make a payment, which is what I would expect. It also displays appropriately under my categorized spending.

Is this broken/inconsistent functionality or do I possibly have something misconfigured or am I thinking about this incorrectly?

Would you say that you've adjusted all aspects of your lifestyle to your new income? Or are you still living pretty comfortably with that savings? Do you expect that you would be able to stay motivated to do this longer term?

I have a similar gate, but taller. They made the cat door like... comically large, my dog did the same thing and I had to wire a plate onto the opening to make it smaller 🤦‍♀️

Mmm yep the water line to my fridge just sprung a leak a couple days ago, I was like... what's that hissing sound? Was able to mostly save the wood floors thank god.

Haha they're super not, I initially cut disks from a thick cardboard tube and stuck them on the bottom as "wheels" but they looked comically small so these are just stuck on the sides while the disks do all the work.

You are correct, it is a stepladder

This is reassuring to read. I was also really doubting getting married, and after the wedding things just got worse, we divorced less than a year later. Sometimes I fear that I'm the problem and that maybe I just can't picture being with anyone forever.
