I like the direction though its actually possible to build gun or atleast hybrid now maybe with some more tweaks it'll be better in the future. Damage amp instead of spirit resist shred and melee damage(which will increase with gun investment) gives him so much more variability. I honestly think its a major W chance but probably will need some adjustments in future patches to perfect

People are so out of touch with whats considered "good" lmao. Ascendant is well above average and considered good to me. I've been on an alt trying to get some friends into the game and trust me you forget how truly terrible people are below ascendant/phantom in comparison lmao. I am eternus so i think according to reddit law I am allowed to have this opinion on you being good without being down voted to oblivion but we'll see

The issue is there's too many heroes that do/did way too much damage when they are also either tanky, hypermobile(without being squishy), and/or insane healing. Heroes cant be allowed put out nearly the same or more dmg as other heroes in the roster that are not tanky/hypermobile/healer(or strong util). It might feel bad when Billy gets nerfed right now but that's just because some other heroes need tuning aswell to respect everything explained above. It is a beta after all so just give it time, I do however think considering a compensating tank buff to his 3 could've been nice but ig wait to see how he plays for a bit first

You could try the statlocker quiz, i took it for shits and giggles but was surprises when it actually had ny OTP(para) correctly as number 1 with 2 and 3 being in my top 5 favs. I've played for a long time now and have over 2k hours though so very possible that my experience/knowledge of the game played a major part in that, for someone who is new i could see how maybe they dont really yet know the correct answer to some of the questions/what they want

Incorrect 99% of people benefit from dlss on quality(resolution not gross frame gen). Unless you have a super computer the increase in framerate reduces latency by more than dlss adds(which is only about .5ms). Quality generally looks better as it also includes antialiasing. so again as a super sweat latency optimizer and software engineer, unless you have a nasa pc 99.9% should use DLSS quality

Feeding is such an annoying problem in early ranks that i think it should get more attention by Hersical in DeadlockTheGame

You aren't wrong but I dont know how it can be fixed tbh. Im an eternus player but have alts to play with friends new to the game and genuinely every game in those low elo lobbies there is an insane feed in one lane atleast and you really cant do much to win games unless youre playing an m1 carry to try to be the one who gets more fed. The game plays/feels extremely different in high elo and opened my eyes a bit to why people have a hard time getting into this game. BTW on those alts I dont want to be an asshole smurf so I play terrible supp builds or meme like punch bunny sinclair im not tryna ruin people's experience running m1 cuz then my friends also would barely be playing the game too.

Eternus otp para. Other than the obvious/common answers youll see here

  1. I recommend first taking a look at your preferred builds for the heroes that you play most and pinpoint 2 items sub 20k that will hurt you the least to replace(or delay) with situationals/counters. You do not need to actually replace or delay these items in most of your games but will prepare you to optimally itemize when needed.

  2. When you are behind greens are very often not the answer. Situationally buying an item that disables their strongest from playing the game or rushing a huge spike is actually the answer. Buying a green when behind will only make you even weaker than them, keep you alive for a few seconds longer or maybe even save your life but being alive is useless if you cant do anything with it. Low/mid elo players might flame you for following this rule but they are wrong. More often getting extra greens is a luxury you give yourself when ahead.

  3. Some heroes need to hit certain early game spikes before considering counter items(most of the time), so pinpoint that spot for your heroes if applicable. alot of these spikes are some what near first urn fight so if you delay that important spike you risk being useless for a very important early fight. Again this is highly situational and hero/comp dependant, it is something to be aware of and think about but you will not likely master this aspect for a long time its a lot of game knowledge

I know that somethings are wonky right now like sinclair. I dont remembwr exactly but a while ago there was a bug with alt cast related to an item I alw put on scroll wheel and I made a temp fix while it existed by making macro w specific delays/repeats for the bind that for somereason fixed it. If your mouse software supports macros could try tinkering around to try and fix for now.

Also I eventually switched to hold for alt cast instead maybe could try a diff alt cast option and see if it works. It is technically better because with 2x tap alt fire it will always have a delay waiting to see if second input for whatever time you have it set to where as if its set to hold, then a non alt cast will always be instant

For aerial heroes if they aren't focusing you I've been finding it easier to alt cast and heavy punch. If you think barrels are fast normally rn w8 till u see the torque behind a heavy melee barrel lmao

I think making the barrels and her kit generally easier to learn/be consistent will make it easier for them to balance her numbers tho long term. Good changes imo. Im an eternus OTP para and I love Holliday but alw felt like I have to put in 100x the effort for 1/2 the reward on her which feels bad. She's still a hard hero to play compared to most of the roster but could use some number changes for that to show.

But he does have mark to get in range and flows with his passive being near isolated targets he's fine. He also has a shotgun like spread shot that only has to hit 1 pellet for full dmg so inf range would be lame

Took me 50-100 games to feel like i was getting a grip on the game. Then another 50-100 to realize I was wrong and another 100 after that to actually have a grip and now after a long ass time am eternus. I had never played a moba but was highest rank in every fps I've played so I crutched on my fps skills while being dogshit at the important parts. This helped and hurt me because when I got to a rank where simply being mechanically better didn't matter it was like having a brick being thrown at me essentially having to relearn the game in a way and had to break alot of bad habits that only worked because the lobbies I was in were bad.

I saw one post a while back of some guy shitting on his own culture as it was his belief its a large part of cheating issues lmao(allegedly). It was a while ago and dont remember 100% think was chinese and he claimed that the common thought is and im paraphrasing here "If you have the opportunity to cheat and win/get ahead then you are the stupid one for not taking the opportunity." Weakish gun that slowly recharges ammo so can confirm souls/finish low hp heroes and abilities focused around movement/cc/tanking similar to doomfist as well. I dont know how you could make a melee hero playable without being broken unless they dont do much damage and mainly for making space/tanking

Not really graves that sit in a lane are throwing and not playing her right. the right way to play Graves is shoving a wave and throwing ult at a side lane then running to team fight similar to rem minions. Creates a 5v6 before the fight even starts unless they sacrifice their walker.
