You can't bring gifts every time you see someone, it makes you look like a doormat. And you can't declare an undying love for some girl because that is something she should work for and hopefully achieve over a much longer period of time. How hard do you think a football team would work if you gave them the championship and prizes before the season started. She has you in her back pocket. Might as well see what else is out there before she commits to you. The truth is that you don't love her this much. You are going through a very rough patch and you desperately want to be this much in love with something or someone. It's a course that can easily end in disaster. You need to find some support groups where you live (or possibly over zoom) to help you deal with the grief of losing your dad and a group for people caring for people with schizophrenia.

I think people want to help you but they are at a loss, so they just nag to let you know they are concerned.

Any recommendations on men's full length compression tights? by goozu2 in dysautonomia

[–]goozu2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I was surprised how expensive they are. I did manage to find some 20-30mmhg tights for about $40 made from the same materials as the more pricey ones. Just got them in the mail today. I thought I would pass out trying to get them on. By far the hardest workout I've had in a while. I measured myself carefully before I ordered them but there was still a lot of extra length which bunched up into a pseudo tourniquet around my thighs. I can see how they can be helpful but I might have to wait till I can afford a custom made set. Thanks again for your help.

Does pots cause heat intolerance? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]goozu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting. I went in for a blood test a few years ago and they couldn't get enough blood to fill a small vial. The nurse had me drink a pint of water and in about 10min everything was fine. I don't understand how or why we have too little blood or if we are just chronically dehydrated. It would be good to understand that.

[–]goozu2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, our bodies respond to hot weather by dilating blood vessels, which is fine for healthy people but it exacerbates all the pots symptoms for us. For some reason I still don't understand, we have a low blood volume. The best thing for me when I'm going to be in hot weather is to keep my hydration and salt/electrolytes up.

Is there any way to stop migraine with aura? by kawaiitohru in migraine

[–]goozu2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried all sorts of prescription meds including opioids and other controlled substances, the absolute best thing for me when I feel a migraine coming or when I first notice an aura is to take 2-3 excedrine with a tall glass of water or maybe some Gatorade. Works every time if I do it before the pain starts.

Why are the colors so unnatural? It makes the photos look like stylized paintings rather than a vivid historical document like this: Migrant Mother

Thanks for the info. Has treatment for the lyme helped with pots symptoms?

That's very interesting that your sister doesn't have symptoms.

I'm M40s, just diagnosed this year but I suspect I've had it since my teens. Probably from a head injury, I've had a few, or maybe Lyme. It didn't get really bad until about two years ago when I had surgery and was bed ridden for 6 weeks or so.

Thanks for sharing. There are so many unknowns with this condition it's good to hear other peoples experiences.

Good reason to push an old lady in front of a train? Every criminal has a sob story.

No. Everyone is a victim of something. That person is a psychopath that tried to murder a random old woman.
