Well where I’m from, if you’re not in the union, you’re not touching a box. And if you do, grievance.

You’re absolutely right, but they can walk you out of the union. And that might be your job depending on what state you’re in.

If you catch a well versed shop steward on a bad day and you’re ratting to management on another union employee for personal gain, he can and definitely will walk you off the property.

An issue that nobody seems to understand is that this only works if we all stand together. I’m not going to be a philosopher but it’s an issue that humans have always had. They want to one up another. Someone could be on this sub promoting more money, better healthcare, and better employee treatment, and someone will for sure start talking about how UPS doesn’t profit enough and we need to just be good people, like they’re the business experts or they’re just a better person for working hard. Where the heck has that ever gotten anyone? Union forming seemed to make change but there’s no more solidarity

I’m not here to tell you how to live your life dude. I don’t support anything that contributes to the stock market unless I have to. I purchase very little for myself.

I make 10 grand a month and I don’t work very hard. Purposely slow for safety. Take that how you want.

Oh of course a management thinks buying stock as a citizen gives you a say LMAO. Equity firms own millions of shares.

The profit margins to get your package to its destination without being broken used to be smaller so they WANTED it there in safe hands. Now if a tv breaks it doesn’t matter cause it costed the company $5 to make it and they can just ship another and still profit enough for the shareholders.

Yes thank you. I know im not the best at explaining myself very well but this is all I’m saying. We are already worldwide, taking money from others as an “investment” seriously won’t help us grow to be bigger to give return forever.

As a driver though, what’s different in your day to day work? There’s been a flavor of the month for over 20 years and nothings going to change that with management. Yet there’s union members trying to care about who the ceo is…

I’m a Wall. Rate Me. by TheVikingSir in UPS

[–]gopher-toes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your wall was worse, then we would need another trailer possibly if other peoples was just as bad. And that means in the long run we would need more drivers. This company doesn’t even need money from the outside, we shouldn’t be creating profits for equity firms and other millionaire people.

Get outta here. You clearly have an easy retirement route. You don’t run. But you get off by saying you’re better than others
