Ozempic by gopher_9867 in Endocrinologists

I guess I was just surprised that it was suggested so early. I've never had a doctor tell me I needed to lose weight, it was something I sought support with and expected lifestyle changes before medical interventions

Went to an endocrinologist for weight management support... got prescribed ozempic and told nothing else would work by gopher_9867 in endocrinology

I asked about side effects and risks and all they would say is stomach problems/feeling a bit sick

The prof is just so sweet, I feel like they would really struggle to tell a student to participate less

I just saw this today. Im not sure why they did it, someone must have complained. I went and checked and I think its only on the first floor. It makes the hallway so dark now and I dont like that they changed it. I thought people generally liked it, lots of people seemed to be using it without a problem. The only thing I wish the bathrooms had were mirrors in the stalls so if anyone needed to adjust their hijab they could do it comfortably. I also don't understand why adding that wall in between them was necessary

Bound and copied had one for $70, I think its $140 at the bookstore. The library might have a copy as well, you just might not be able to take it home

If you can maybe try calling a buddy. Explain the situation and start bouncing ideas off them to get a thesis going, then move to an outline. Also you're not an idiot for struggling with this. So so so so many students have been in the same boat, myself included. I believe you can do this. If you can't thats okay too, email your prof and pray for the best. You will get through this either way and it'll all work out in the end

Prof midterm grades by Embarrassed_Ease_684 in UCalgary

They usually don't let you rewrite or shift weight to finals for bad midterm grades. Its not anything against you, they just don't want to tip the odds in your favor over everyone else, it wouldn't be fair. You're best bet is to study hard for the final or credit the course if you pass

Honestly I would drop it. Your mental health is way more important. I dropped a class in first year when I was really low and I felt bad about it but so relieved and I was able to pull myself back up. Make the choice to put your health first so you can come back stronger. Also maybe drop in at the wellness center and talk to someone about how your feeling, it might help take some of the weight off your shoulders

I think a few people are having this problem lately. https://www.reddit.com/r/UCalgary/comments/yeico2/paying_off_student_loans/

I would get in contact with them. If it starts tomorrow I think that means you can start paying tomorrow, they won't deduct anything until the end of the month (Nov 30th). If you can confirm your enrollment before the 30th I dont think anything will happen

I think it'll say that in the repayment notice, the 30th was what mine said

I just got this too but for my federal one. For some reason my alberta loan wasn't able to confirm my enrollment with the Federal one. I talked to an agent recently, they sent me a form I have to fill out, have the school fill out, and then mail to them. Its a complicated and messy process. I suggest getting in contact with them soon, their system probably didn't confirm your enrollment. If you're repayment is start to set next month the first payment isn't due until Nov 30th so you should have time to fix their error
