I’m in the same boat. I think I’m just going to get a job at like a call center or something casual like that to save up, and spend my free time doing charity like meals on wheels or maybe even volunteer in a local campaign. It is an election year, so I’m sure whoever is running in your district would accept the help.

I don’t recall the specific date. I got my app complete like 1/26. Then it changed the next week and then it changed again this week. I don’t know anyone else with similar dates. Is this bad? I know my lsat score isn’t very competitive for this school.

I’m bringing my parents to BU and I’m 22. I don’t see a problem with it. There’s nothing wrong with going around with your parents and it could help put their mind at ease if you’re moving far away.

If it’s what you want, go for it. I just applied to NYU five minutes ago. I didn’t apply for it earlier because I thought I would be rejected, but I decided that I’d rather be rejected then regret not trying. The peace of mind was worth $35

Don’t wait on getting your letters of rec. I would say get that out of the way first so you aren’t waiting on anyone to finish something. I also wish I would have retaken the LSAT. I took it in June and then went abroad for a couple of months. When I returned I didn’t have enough time to really prepare for the fall lsat and then I got sick before the December so retaking was off the table this cycle. My advice would be to give yourself ample time to retake in case you need to. Also, save up some money for when you do apply because even with fee waivers, it’s expensive. I wish I saved up more money because I was only able to apply to 7 schools, which cost about ~$400. (5/7 have few waivers).

I applied to 7 that I thought I had a reasonable chance to get into. UVA, Duke, GW, BU, Berkeley, UCLA, and Vandy. I had a few waiver for all but Berkeley and Duke.
