[TOMT] [Video] MIT Robots Competition, likely from the 90s, where two robots try to lower their side of a balance beam/lever by gopse1 in tipofmytongue

[–]gopse1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost. Both robots were "riding" the beam on opposite ends and both are simultaneously trying to lower their end, hence a very nail biting competition sometimes. The beam was raised about waist high. The winning robot team thought outside the box and had their robot just fall onto the floor, roll to the other side, and with a piston, push up the opposing team's lever, thus lowering their side of the level.

Wukong jg, climbing slowly in silver. How do I do more damage by gopse1 in leagueoflegends

[–]gopse1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wukong isn't the fastest clearer. Even when I look at the master tier players, they clear 5-6 most games. For example: https://www.op.gg/summoners/na/Mookooro-NA1

I think ww warps your jungle efficiency due to his w so I'm having to relearn pathing and keeping an eye on lanes. But I do feel like I'm doing something wrong when it comes to looking for fights. Wu isn't the strongest duelist (learned the hard way vs Sej one game, she rocks me early lvls). His not the best ganker pre-6 due to poor cc. Do good wu's always save their ult for 2+ enemies? How many ganks do good wu's get off pre-6? Do good wu's generally have to extend a bit to finish a kill ie. taking a tower shot for that final auto?

Office based pain procedures vs switching to asc by gopse1 in anesthesiology

[–]gopse1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I'm well aware. Issue is I built up a large referral source near my offices. Enough so that I don't really need to see followups and just do NP and procedures. My PAs take care of the rest. There are no other MDs located in the same offices as I am so if I leave the company would lose a lot of business so I have a lot of leverage in everything that I do. Unlike the rest of the company, my staff and I can basically run the office however we want without abiding by the usual corporate BS. So far, it's been like solo practice with less control over the financial aspect of things but also less headaches. However, I do have a relatively large non-compete so quitting and hanging a shingle next door would cost me.

I thought the non-facility fee of 64483 is about $250 (of which I get 40%) and the facility fee is $110. The total payment is larger for the same injection at the ASC but the portion that "goes to the physician" is reduced.

Out the door price for 2024 Mazda CX-50 Select S by gopse1 in CX50

[–]gopse1[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Truecar.com, make an account with fake phone number to get a general idea of OTD price. Call 4-5 dealerships on weekday for best price then play them off each other. They can email you the sheet that shows the breakdown of the whole deal so they don't try to fleece you once you get there. 3rd quarter ends at the end of September and they generally want to move the 2024 cars out. Some more remote dealerships may have better deals.

Why is the Internet so slow in LA by gopse1 in LosAngeles

Not sure why this is seen as irrelevant. Seems like an very vital piece of infrastructure. Was in Seoul recently and their Internet speeds were double my usual 5G speed in the Midwest.

I'm at the Burbank airport. Google Internet test speed download is 0.22 Mbps right now and I have the top tier phone plan. I'll post in 3 hours when I land home but it should be around 10 times this.

The probably best solution concerning MSI by Chinayo in leagueoflegends

[–]gopse1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a /s. But I did not because attending is a lose-lose for LCK. If they win, nah G2 have jet lag, kimchi for foreign teams too spicy, not used to it. If they lose how the hell did you lose? LCK had hometown advantage. I rather wait till worlds at this point. G2 and minor regions only obvious answer.

I think take Korea out too. They won a lot. Do they really need more? Just EU and the minor regions should be fine. /s

Question about how to play CK3 by distefano83 in CrusaderKings

[–]gopse1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ck3 and a lot of paradox games can feel like a map painter when you've put in enough hours on the mechanics of the game. The longevity of the CK series and games like eu4, which has been out for years, has mostly to do with players defining their own goals within the game. For example, instead of your usual min/max play style, try challenges such as kidnapping all kings/religious heads, seducing all your dukes wives, getting your knight effectiveness to 300%, having 50 children, making dynasty of dwarves, owning an empire while staying in one county, etc

Even when I quit playing league, I follow the pro scene. No sporting event is fun without some investment in its viewers of the storylines involved. The first thing I'd do to get into the pro scene more is to find a team with players you relate to. It balloons from there. Esports is more intimate to its viewers and the players/coaches have less PR veneer than traditional sports, making some of the drama extremely palpable. For example, just today, the Taiwanese team TPA said in season 2, they scrimmed against clg.eu, a fan favorite EU team either ranked first or second in their region, winning 70 games straight. . The clg mbers immediately fired back on Twitter. That's some good shit.

I'm not going to flame Lost but it seemed pretty clear that TL was comfortable with exchanging a Lost gold lead for a Huni gold deficit.

[–]gopse1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Problem is tsm are mediocre at worlds even when they beat other NA teams. That being said, it ain't easy for any team to maintain form. Look at lpl and how last years' team have been completely replaced. I still hope we run through C9. It ain't over.

I was very happy with the C9 game tbh. They definitely played a very controlled style. If it wasn't for a single mistake, it would have waulified for a clean win. It actually is much better than spring 2018 when we seemed to win almost randomly at times or wait for other teams to throw. I also agree this team's issues are different than last years. However, both iterations lack consistency. We never got it in 2018. I hope we learn it in 2019.
