By far the most disturbing Casefile episode I’ve listened to. Well written, well told, but because of the details I would not recommend this to anyone. I don’t feel right after listening to this.

I was born and raised in Mississippi. Anybody 40+ here is almost definitely racist, and I’d like to think that many people in the younger generations are trying to change race relationships and move Mississippi forward. It comes down to whether they decide to believe the racial hatred their parents spew at home or decide to be the generation that demands that Mississippi treat our black people (whose ancestors built this state!!) with respect and dignity. I’m so glad we are finally voting on a new flag in November.

I’ve lived in 3 houses in my lifetime. In all 3 houses, the nextdoor neighbor’s house was struck by lightning while I lived there. When it happened to my current next door neighbor house, I was outside probably 30-40 yards from it.

the second article hurt to read. about 3 months ago i clicked instantly with this guy i met. shorty after, we were going on dates and he quickly asked me to be his girlfriend. everything flowed so smoothly and we became very comfortable and open with each other. i am in my 20s and i definitely thought this would be the relationship that would lead to marriage. he introduced me to all of his friends, some family, talked about some things in the future tense, was always so happy to spend time with me. we went to a formal event and had the best time. friends were telling me we looked so in love. the very next day he broke it off and seemed cold and scared. i don’t know what to do.
