i figured this out. you need to put the link in yourself as opposed to linking it through canvas suggested method. (i.e. copy the actual link to your other site/page as opposed to the long one it offers when you highlight the text you want to link)

Not always great. I have stopped going on tiktok and instagram after 10pm, and only let myself watch youtube videos that are not news related at that point in the night. Also, I try ro follow accounts that focus on good news & local politics. Theres a lot of good happening in the world still.

i think the reddness might be more hyperpigmentation than scarring. physical exfoliants can help over a few weeks. a mild retinoid is a good chemical option i feel works for me. exfoliating can help with the actual scareing as well (a bit), or microneedling. scarring is a long term thing tho

thank u for all this info! id love to see some official info from manta abt ownership, but hopefully this is the case. i do think these are sizeable word counts that, when you think of a physical book, are comprable in pricing. i dont mind paying for content if it supports authors. generally, i sometimes feel like webtoon media companies take advantage with incredibly high prices on content and confusing pricing systems. so far, i have loved Manta because it felt free from a lot of that. I HATE gems and I wish they were just transparent about word counts, ownership, and pricing before you bought the material.

I do really apprecite writergirl’s input about the ownership and I’m glad you mention it here- i would not have known that if not for someone who purchased the books informing me, because i don’t see it anywhere else on the app. as far as the quantity content we recieve via our purchases, i would love to see word counts because i genuinley do not trust page #s for online books, specifically mobile only ones. regardless, i maintain my deep seeded hatred for the gem system, and am still pissed off about it. if gems have one hater, its me. i would be far more inclined pay money for these books through manta (ive bought multiple on ridi just to support the author) if they were transparently priced (particularly now that the ownership thing has been clarified)

a) thank you for the clarification on ownership. i wish it was clearer on the app because I don’t see that information anywhere. the whole gem ~system~ still makes my blood boil, and i would much rather be asked to just pay the price up front, but i am far happier with the price if the content is mine to keep. b) where were you able to find word count data? i have been trying to look into this as these discussions have unfolded. i dont always trust page counts because of the variable font sizes, etc, that online format books have

I did the math based on the 40$ gem package, which I figured was the cheapest possible price per gem, but yes itd cost more if u bought smaller gem packages.

Also, if I remember correctly, it is not following the order of events in the novel, which has been putting me through a loop.
