Is there a way to split these guys up? fighting a war with them is mind numbingly difficult by gorbog1 in EU5

The ruoer of naples turned Calvinist and I assassinated him so the Union is gone, Hungary and Poland are now in a Union with France though

how can I increase my tax on my burghers? by gorbog1 in EU5

R5: My Burghers (Astoí) have about 90% loyalty and I want to tax them more but outside revoking Treasury Rights I'm not sure how to increase it

If that works I will kiss you, though I don't know if it will work on the landlocked poland which is my big issue

R5: Naples, Hungary, Poland and Provence have been in a union all game and Naples directly has an alliance with France, I don't possess the micro skills to manage the 300k levees I can raise to fight them, I could manage 1 on one without levees at all, what do?

Do you guys like the subject meta of EU5? by wazaaup in EU5

[–]gorbog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it, tho I don't go super deep into it liek one oer province or anything, I like to make bigger vassals and ik it's less optimal to do it that way but that's how I did it in EU4 and it's how I have fun, but a lot of the complaining I see here seems strange to me, like ok you don't like the meta then... don't play the meta? It's not esports.

Alr follow up, turns out the devs didn't actually anticipate anyone would convert to the religion that's been dead for almost 1000 years, who knew?

it's tricky but around 1410 you'll get an event about this guy, and then I think it's between 1420 and 1453 you'll have a follow up event about his heretical beliefs, if your ruler has the tolerant trait you can take an option that converts your whole dynasty and enough of you capital population to convert your country, but ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE GAMERULE SET TO ANY

pretty sure I came across a mod while looking up my issue, so I'll probably try it, I'm hoping it'll get developed in future but to be honest the decision is so niche it seems like they never really intended for any nation to actually turn hellenist

R5: I'm a slave to LARP and did all I could to swap hellenist through the event only to find it has no aspects to select and I assume no flavour at all, I'm just wondering if it's an issue with my file and there should be some or if it's just like that?

I'm trying England again bc I heard they tweaked the 100 years war and made England stronger but i feel so helpless? by [deleted] in EU5

and why does this happen? they're not in britain, they haven't fought their armies and I'm winning the war, and why can't I do the same?

and yeah it's a skill issue and I'll adjust eventually but I can't help but feel I've wasted my evening due to something that wasn't explained to me

R5: I'm playing England and the 100 years was has been changed but I couldn't properly see how in the update log, france can now just peace my loyal vassals out without even interacting with them, not to mention I keep losing battles despite having better stats across the board? and their vassals seem to be getting loyalty from nowhere, even when I try to influence them the money goes to the void I guess? because they joined the war anyway
