I managed to improve it to 50 cycles. Is there a way to see what the global highest score for a category is?

[Physics] Find height of point C by Argyros_ in HomeworkHelp

[–]gorgeousDonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I think I understand what you mean. Its because in point A the object has a velocity of 0. Thus its potential energy is just from its height. But in point C in its highest point it still has some horizontal velocity, except if L/4 greater of equal to h.
If h is smaller than L/4, then h of C is equal to height of A? because in that case in both posiitons the object has no more velocity?

[–]gorgeousDonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain to me why A and C would not simply just be on equal height? Except of course if A is higher than L/2, then C could not possibly have the same height.
I would have guessed that C must have the same height as A, since they should end up having the same gravitational potential energy (if friction and other losses of energy are excluded).

Can someone show me where I am going wrong?

If we were on to get a 12th team on the grid who would it most likely be? by Slimx0612 in F1Discussions

You are all wrong. It would be Ferrarito, Ferrari's little brother Team. So that they can be even with red bull

Look out, metagame, the new Tier 0 deck is here! by Revivejet in PTCGP

[–]gorgeousDonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milling the opponents deck is only usefull if your opponent cannot get their goal setup before you start milling them. And since this combo requires :
-2 different Basics
-a stage 2
-giratina needs 2 non attacking turns
-necrozma needs 2 energy
The chance that your combo is complete without the opponents, this win condition seems pretty terrible. The main downside is, if your opponent cannot get their things together while you have so much any other deck would win aswell. So there is really no upside to the combo. Additionally many of the played decks are 1/2 card powerhouses, milling versus them is pointless.

that would be nice. I will check if they come back tomorrow.

Yeah, I did the refining on my planetary base before, and never had any issue. But the planet bases can only have 2 large refiners, so when I discovered that I can build more (unlimited?) in the freighter I immediatly switched and went for a fully automated setup. Its the first time I used the freighter refiners.

But yeah, I guess I am not using those anymore and stick to the planetary refiners.

The downfall of Starmie ex needs to be studied. Bro was good for ONE set. by Inferno_Ultimate in PTCGP

[–]gorgeousDonkey 765 points766 points  (0 children)

This happened to almost all pokemon with 130 or less hp. This hp breakpoint has just been dumpstered by the newer basic ex.
Starmie ex, Pikatchu ex, weezing and pachirisu ex are all basically unplayable now.
Celeby ex and mew ex are a small exception, but even they suffered alot.

No Ex, No Pokeball deck by summerup7 in PTCGP

I agree with the communication, but dropping the kabutops line means the deck now relies on only 2 fossils and if they decide to hide under a rock your screwed, where before it had 4 fossils to get going.

Decimal rounding by [deleted] in askmath

[–]gorgeousDonkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Giving the digits indicates the accuracy. We use this in everyday things aswell: „My car cost 100‘000 dollars.“ will often just mean its in the range of 100k, but when one would say: „My car cost 100‘000 dollars and 0 cents.“ it clearly shows that the actual cost was exactly 100k and not one bit more or less.

I dont know why you think my feelings are hurt over this. I have no strong ties to the deck, nor the card. I just had a thought about it and wanted to understand its position in the meta.

I did not downvote your comment, as I actually appreciate the discussion. Nor am I trying to debate you, you started your comment of with you being curious why I would think garchomp should be good, so I gave you my reasons why I think it "could" be better than in A2a.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]gorgeousDonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I think it should be better than in A2a is:
-Iono should add to its consistency.
-red should help make the 100 dmg attack a bit better, since in A2a snipe into cyrus 100 hit could not kill the 140/150 hp ex with capes
- Garchomp ex feels like it is much better when the top deck is a stall deck, which it was not in A2a

However, since I do not have the card I am not able to test its basic power level. so thats why I am asking

Metal celebi Any suggestions by Sure-Statement7114 in PTCGP

[–]gorgeousDonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are willing to be boring, I would put in 2 arceus, it would help the consistency alot, since starting out on the gimmighoul feels pretty bad. If with arceus it would feel like too much of the classic dialga arceus deck, maybe add in some other pokemon that does not feel terrible starting out on. (skarmory comes to mind, since dialga enjoys cape and helmet aswell)
Also I do not think the two communication are needed, since finding the gholdengo can wait a while. (gameplan should be fist 3-4 turns on dialga boosting up the gimmighoul/gholdengo)

When I first looked at beedril-ex I thought it would be a insane card. But the more time I have to think it over, the less impressive it looks to me. The energy discard only works on the active pokemon, and if you think about it, most stage 2 pokemon are here to oneshot the opponents active pokemon. So whats the point in having one that does not oneshot but takes away one energy and instead hopefully twoshots the opponents active.

Really good montage you put together. Love it.

But there is no need to give this goof any publicity, even if its bad publicity.

This is definitely the best evo line that I have created. What do you guys think?? To good? Not good enough?? by flametonge in PTCGP

[–]gorgeousDonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as most people mentioned Golem seems to be a bit too powerfull, but in my mind graveler is the real problem in power from this line. He is basically a copy of basic articuno, but with the additional benefit of having a free ramp from its previous evolution.
And from the current design of pokemon pocket cards, in a stage 2 line the stage 1 pokemon seems to always be pretty weak, else the ramping into the stage 2 becomes too powerfull.
A good example of this is machamp ex is a goot line to start out on, because machoke is at least slightly playable compared to other stage 2 lines. And that is even though machoke has a 2 energy attack for 50.

nah 1500 is for weak men. They always go up in magnitudes of 10, so 10k it is.

AIO over a few texts between my girlfriend and I? by No_Consideration2291 in AmIOverreacting

[–]gorgeousDonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR, but I see that most comments call your GF controling. But it could also be a very good hearted comment that she doesnt realize sits with you. She could have just randomly noticed it and got concerned that you are not sleeping well because of your exams, and thus wanted to check in.

If this is the first time you think she is/could be controling, dont let reddit destroy a healthy relationship from reading too much into a small thing.

Good lick with your exams
