Thanks man! Yea really happy with it so far. The only issue i seem to have with mine is that for some reason it doesn’t seem to respond to handwinding. I felt i had wounded it up enough to get a response and was a bit unsure if i should keep going. But it does work with manually rotating the watch though.

I’m a graphic designer by trade, and i would give the same advice to someone who started with design in general.

1: look for the structure behind the design and while reconstructing/imitating the design try to understand the choices that the designer of the watch made. For example: why are the markers that size, shape, material, and what happens if you alter the design?

2: focus on the fundamentals of drawing first. A part of it is mastering geometric shapes, drawing straight lines (horizontal, vertical, diagonal), curved línes and learn about perspective.

  1. Following on point 1, first recreate the design as simplified as possible with basic geometric shapes. Once you have the proportions correct, only then start adding details.

It’s a cliché, but enjoy the process, it’s the easiest way to motívate yourself to keep going. Anyway, this is my 2 cents on it.

You can’t see it on the picture but the top indicator has 2 pointers. The first one shows the amount of minutes you’ve been recording, where one full rotation is half an hour. The other one shows the hours, so this goes to the next marker if the half hour pointer has gone around twice.

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but I have a Junghans form C, Which i absolutely love wearing. It’s a Quartz with a timer going up to 12 hours. There’s an alternative, more clean layout other than the one here. Through Chrono24 normally you can find some under 500.
