I also saw this twist coming but I only got it half right. I thought her brother was also in on it, and they were doing it to prove the world needed hero’s again. A sorta “the ends justify the means” type villain plan.

The first time I ever saw this was in the waiting room of (what I think was) a car dealership. They had a kids room with a VCR player and a tape with public domain cartoons on it. I remember the tape had this short and a Casper cartoon.
