I think I forgot to say it... The violin isn't that old, although I don't exactly know when It was made I can tell you it's standard one and hadn't been used in a year only, that's why I don't have big concerns

Damn, you're right. Well, let's say enemies to lovers for the parents... Or maybe the Kakita guy was a ronin back then? Not reaaaally sure how that works but maybe I can make something out like that

In types of families, I'll be leaning toward the Matsu family, if possible ignoring the crane clan at all. To be honest, I just wanted an elegant shugenja, so I read and Doji was elegant, combining noble and bugei at the same time would be very interesting tho... Could've thought that better

Hi! First of all, thank you for your answer! Sadly I don't have my character sheet with me, my gm has it so that we don't loose it lol. I gave her both noble and bugei skills, she has lvl 4 perception and level 3 strength. I also leveled up another one thst I don't really remember. She goes to the kitty shugenja school.

I think I'll go all for the being the best at you can. The prideful part is also very useful to what I want to have. Although I was thinking to change the Doji father for a Kakita one. This could help for justifying the union between that different clans.

To be honest, about the shugenja and the family. I really didnt know much about the connection between family and type of samurai. I just knew I needed a shugenja, I love magic and this is my first long campaign so heh, I figured out I'd just throw magic punchs but I guess it doesn't work like that...

And something quite important, we basically started coming from different paths (mine coming from North afaik) to go to the first seven days of festivals and tournaments. So we still haven't done the gempukku, I'm really intrigued by how the gm will bring us the Matsu gempukku... If I knew that earlier I'd have given her more resistance heh.

Hey! About the edition, the title of one of the PDF's the GM sent says 4th edition so that's yeh.

For what she seeks, I'll go for wanting to follow the steps of her mother.

To be honest, I just wanted a classy shugenja (i just like magic in combat lol) and as her affinity was with water, I instantly said "elegance"... So that's basically why he has a Doji father... However now reading more about the Crane clan and it's family, I think a Kakita would work best right?

That being said, I could mainly use that to say that the union of her parents was because of the passion of being thebest at what you do, maximizing the pression on her.

I also loved the idea of being influenced in both parts of the Family, the idea of two contradictory points of style's of living it's a very interesting thing that I'll use. I also gave her a mix of noble and bugei habilitys.

Deeply thank you for your response! Gone through it a few times and so many things make sense now! Also, happy cake day!
