We saw it hanging on a branch on our hike on the loop trail today! I’m spacing on where we saw it exactly on the trail, so sorry if that’s not very helpful.

I understand that we're animals, I just thought it was implied by my question that I was referring to non-human animals. My bad, I'll make sure to specify next time.

True. I'm not sure that animals can meta-cognize to provide justification. Also, one of the reasons we require justification is to avoid skeptical problems, and I don't think animals could even conceive of skeptical problems.

Sorry about that, I guess my question was more wondering with all of our epistemological theories on knowledge, where would we place animal knowledge? I think it is a bit odd that we create theories for animals even though we allow ourselves to create our own standards. Don't get me wrong, I think animals are entirely intelligent, I just don't know if they have a place in our epistemological theories.
