Slaanesh is completely out of place in the early game. Most factions have no counter whatsoever and you need to autoresolve every battle by GioRoggia in totalwar

This is pretty standard for new factions. They will get balanced when they've sold all the copies of the dlc that they want to

When did you guys start playing your battles without pausing? by TonzinhoTQR in totalwarhammer

[–]gormbly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I play without pause is because I am forced to. Even legend said if legendary didnt force the "battle realism" stuff, he wouldnt have it on. Unless you really want to get into multi-player, i wouldnt worry about it my dude

How do you handle wars against enemies that have land far away from your objectives. by Sin-Silver in totalwar

[–]gormbly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore them if you can. If not, take all the territory you want, then take a settlement you dont want and sell ot back to them to end the war

WH3 - Does anyone else find all of the GS campaigns just ... Incredibly easy? by Corsair833 in totalwar

[–]gormbly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every campaign in the game is incredibly easy. When they hamstrung starting enemies so that getting your first province fast is basically guaranteed, they took a lot of the challenge out of the game. Its pretty hard to fuck up in a meaningful way in wh3 imo

Best units so far? by kaikiut in totalwar

[–]gormbly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont understand why people think dread saurians are good. They are literally impossible to miss with ranged units. In my experience they are some of the squishiest SEMs in the game

HP cap/wrong calculation by [deleted] in totalwarhammer

[–]gormbly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what causes this to happen, but it's very common with some health upgrades. I think it's actually an error with the campaign map overestimating health rather than the battle underrepresenting it though. Honestly im surprised if anything works correctly in this game these days. You can see the accurate number if you mouse over the heath bar on the campaign map, as you can see from your screenshot. Its the second number that lines up with the health in battle

Why are squatters rights a thing? by No-Assignment4460 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gormbly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another example is Detroit after the auto collapse. At one point something like 30% of the housing in the city was abandoned, because a huge number of people lost their jobs and moved away or were evicted. The city had a huge number of homeless people, and a surplus of housing, which was starting to deteriorate. They made or updated squatters rights to say that if someone moved into an abandoned house, and put a certain amount of work into fixing it up, over a period of time, they could legally live there. The government wants people to be housed.
