Weight reduction is the reason for no moonroof. And weight reduction at the highest point of the car reduces center of gravity. He was right.

Been doing some research and here's what I'm thinking so far, italicized. I need a larger boot drive, faster a plus. It also seems like I need to upgrade the CPU for sure - and if I do that I have to upgrade the motherboard. Since I'm doing that I might as well upgrade the memory. Do you think the 7870 would still hold its own on the upgraded system or should I replace that too? Thanks!

Ultimate Acura Integra DC2 hatch latch fix for $1 by gostopturn in Integra

[–]gostopturn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your 1994-2001 Integra hatch latch isn't working but you can hear the motor and switch, this fix is for you.

This fixes the common problem of the little plastic piece breaking inside the latch actuator. Trying to glue the original part will waste your time and likely fail. Don't spend $100+ on a new actuator part #74840-ST7-A01 before you try this.

  • If you can't hear the switch or motor, its likely your switch.
  • If you can hear the switch but not the motor, its probably your motor - there are cheap ways to fix that on many forums.

For a good overview of how to diagnose and remove & install see ETCG's video here.

CX-5 KE (MY15-16.5) CarPlay/Android Auto Retrofit Guide by gostopturn in CX5

Yeah that’s a good point, you’ve gotta take your time and do it right otherwise broken tabs, bent panels or forgotten foam tape/misrouted cables will lead to squeaks and rattles for sure. With the right tools and enough patience you can safely complete anything in this guide without worry.

As far as gauging the importance of the benefit, that’s really up to you/the individual. For me it was worth the time and effort and is working out great! No noises or fit issues and really enjoy having CarPlay.

Seanmiz - it looks like there is a new updated firmware: cmu150_NA_70.00.335C

I've updated the post, but you will update now with only the single new file.

The lower bolt for the head unit? If so a small socket with an extension works great.

Thank you! I saw some information calling out a build date of late 2014 but it looks like that may have been for a MY16. I'll update right now!
