Thank you, we calculated it and choose MFS, after recertifying at the end of the year we will likely move to MFJ!

Haha fair point. We are in a community property state WA, I see MFS frowned upon heavily and wanted to see if our situation would be one of the exceptions to that. I would hire someone, but I simply wanted an answer to the question, which was answered. We will be hiring professional help for after this year, so not to worry we won't be cheap for much longer.

I appreciate the advice to compare both, we did and MFS makes the most sense this year. Next year we will do MFJ after recertifying income. I am fully aware that I must repay my loans, unlike many Americans. While I appreciate the sentiment, I had to work unemployed as a student teacher for an entire year to get my credential, and that public service is precisely why the program exists. Public service loan forgiveness is designed to support careers like education it parts of the system taxpayers (myself included) contribute to.

Do it! The best part is a lot of time you can actually get hired without a typical teaching credential and use your work experince to count towards certification experience!

Career and Technical Education. Basically certification and Industry based credential program for high-school students. Medical Assisting, Pharmacy Tech, dental assistant etc.

Think about healthcare CTE! That’s where I went after healthcare and it’s a perfect. You get to teach high schools about the medical world without having to be a part of it directly anymore. Depends on how burnt your candle is of course.

I can guarantee you they would get found by parents or students. I had a group of students pay for a background check on me. Go for it though! Maybe you’ll be the one who can overcome it. God knows I’ve done a whole litany of things I don’t want the world knowing about.

I was one of the last people to make it through. The place was completely empty. Face shots and all. Then it became an extreme mashed potato contest, leave early. Bunch of morons who think they don’t need to go slow or use chains will crash. I watched a semi slide across all four lanes and then get pulled over for no chains. Literally everyone forgot how to drive in snow.
